Installation

Installing Lookfar GM Assistant works the same way as any other Foundry VTT module, and doesn't require any dependencies, but at the current moment is not available in the Foundry Module Browser.

Traditional Foundry Installation

1. Open Foundry VTT.
2. From the main setup screen, go to Add-on Modules.
3. Click Install Module.

From here, you can install a module in one of two ways:

Option 1: Manifest URL

If the module is distributed by manifest link instead:

1. Open the Install Module window.
2. Paste https://github.com/slave2midna/lookfar/releases/latest/download/module.json into the Manifest URL field.
3. Click Install.

Option 2: Manual Installation

Manual installation is also possible, though it is generally less convenient than the built-in installer.

1. Download the module files.
2. Place the module folder, including its module.json file, into your Foundry user data folder under:

data/modules/

3. Restart Foundry VTT if it is already running.

Activate the Module in a World

Installing a module does not automatically enable it in a world.

To activate Lookfar GM Assistant:

1. Launch the game world where you want to use it.
2. Log in as a user with Gamemaster permissions.
3. Open the Configuration sidebar.
4. Click Manage Modules.
5. Find Lookfar GM Assistant in the list.
6. Check the box next to it.
7. Click Save Module Settings.

Foundry will reload the world with the module enabled.

Updating

To update an installed module:

1. Return to the Add-on Modules tab from the main setup screen.
2. Find the module in your installed list.
3. Click Update, or use Update All to check all unlocked modules.

Uninstalling

To remove a module:

1. Go to Add-on Modules.
2. Right-click the installed module.
3. Choose Uninstall.
4. Confirm the removal.

If the module is locked, unlock it first before uninstalling.
