ffsubsync skips first 5 subtitles lines even though they seem properly formatted #177

Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with ffsubsync where it skips the first 5 lines of dialogue in a specific .srt file when trying to synchronize it with a movie. I am using the latest version of ffsubsync. Here is the command I used:

ffs LOTR_01_2001_2160p.mkv -i original.srt -o output.srt

The original .srt file appears to be properly formatted, and I couldn't find any differences between the first 5 lines (which are skipped) and the 6th line. Here is a sample of the original .srt file:

1
00:00:34,780 --> 00:00:36,950
Le monde a changé.

2
00:00:37,950 --> 00:00:40,370
Je le perçois dans l'eau.

3
00:00:41,660 --> 00:00:43,910
Je le ressens dans la terre.

4
00:00:46,080 --> 00:00:48,750
Je le sens dans l'air.

5
00:00:49,540 --> 00:00:53,170
Bien des choses d'antan
sont perdues,

6
00:00:54,050 --> 00:00:57,180
aucun de ceux qui vivent
ne s'en souvient.

I have not encountered this issue with other video and subtitle files, only with this specific one. Could you please help me understand why ffsubsync is skipping these lines and how I can fix this issue?

I have created a tarball with debugging information by following the instructions:

I ran the command with the --make-test-case flag: ffs LOTR_01_2001_2160p.mkv -i original.srt -o output.srt --make-test-case
This resulted in a file named LOTR_01_2001_2160p.mkv.2023-05-07-22-02-22.tar.gz

Please let me know if you need any additional information or context to help diagnose and resolve this issue.

Thank you!
