Is it possible to forward a port from the Host into the Guest?

I'm interested in a usecase where I'd like to forward a port from the Host machine into the Guest (specifically in this case, a llama.cpp port). Can this be possible?

I think if you have a service running locally in the host (like llama.cpp on 127.0.0.1:8080) and you have net enabled in the VM, the guest can access the service.

@akavel both of what you described works.
a) host -> guest, use -p host:guest so a listener on the host forwards into the guest
b) guest -> host, with --net enabled services inside can reach the outside world from the guest vm.

Is there a way to use a specific IP ? I need to expose a port to all my internal network.

Here was my quick test:

smolvm machine create --name web -I nginx -p 8080:80 --net

SMOLVM_PUBLISH_ADDR=192.168.1.50 SMOLVM_EGRESS_FLOOR=metadata smolvm machine start --name web

ss -ltnp | grep 8080

for me, I saw: 192.168.1.50:8080 instead of 127.0.0.1:8080

BTW I try without SMOLVM_EGRESS_FLOOR=metadata and it works too.
It would be great to have a SMOLVM_PUBLISH_ADDR in a Smolfile
