Release v3.72.7
Release v3.72.7.
Changelog
3.72.7 - 2026-11-03
User-facing changes
Added
- Migration: Seerr and SeerrNG users can now preview and apply migrations in either direction, carrying compatible settings, accounts, requests, and database records while reporting data the destination cannot support.
- Interface: Choose between the original Seerr layout and John’s SeerrNG interface. The selected design is saved to your account, and current media catalogs and request features remain available in both.
Fixed
- Navigation: Blocklist stays out of desktop and mobile menus until it contains an entry. Users with Blocklist permissions retain the same access after the first entry is added, and the current route stays navigable if the count is temporarily unavailable.
- Settings: Prowlarr category filters and indexer assignments now show multiple options at once and keep native multi-selection usable across desktop and mobile settings layouts.
- Software: ROMarrNG-only installations now show Retro and Modern software categories and patch discovery without QuestarrNG. PC Game Finder still requires QuestarrNG.
- Action required: Browse Retro and Modern catalogs when only ROMarrNG is configured
- Bookshelf: Chaptarr book searches preserve Goodreads and Hardcover identities when switching metadata providers. Book details and ebook or audiobook requests use the original provider even when a new connection defaults to another catalog.
- Scheduled Jobs: Scheduled job settings now describe cron expressions more accurately, including nearest-weekday offsets and alternate day and month numbering.
- Requests: A movie or series can now have only one unresolved HD or 4K request, preventing both quality tiers from being queued for the same title.
- Sonarr: New TV requests to Sonarr v5 include the required metadata language and season order, preventing empty-field failures. Sonarr server settings now offer defaults for new-series metadata language and season order; request overrides take priority and existing series keep their metadata.
- Database: SQLite permissions are secured before opening the database. Startup no longer reopens and closes active database files, preserving the locks that let backup tools and other database connections safely read current committed data. New database and journal files retain private permissions.
Security
- Security: Updated affected runtime, documentation, and development dependencies and patched every shipped entrypoint of the unmaintained
deepmergepackage. These changes address known request and resource exhaustion, command injection, and prototype-pollution advisories without changing application behavior or requiring operator configuration.
This cumulative release note covers v3.71.4 through v3.72.7, including changes represented by interim tags and drafts. The merged pull requests below summarize the range; the full changelog link includes the complete commit comparison.
