Here's my 2 cents.
Keybase: "Crypto(graphy) for everyone".
Solid: "A platform for radically decentralized user-centric Linked Data applications.".
Those are totally different things.

And for one thing, Solid is based on the concept of pod: your own secure data storage online. It's about reclaiming your personal data ownership and control.

You could also envision Keybase being run as an app on the Solid platform, e.g. adding Keybase features to your Solid POD.

The app could be developed by the Keybase developers themselves, the community, or you ;) The app would then use the APIs of Solid to store whatever you need to have stored.
