v0.5.2 — Subtitle-first mode + Vertex audio fallback

First public release of the rewrite that started at v0.2.1. Standard tier has been completely re-architected.

What changed for users

• Lấy phụ đề YouTube nhanh và ổn định hơn nhiều. Trước đây nhiều video không lấy được phụ đề (YouTube đã siết API từ cuối 2024). Giờ load được trong 1-2 giây, kể cả video chỉ có phụ đề tự động.
• Mode live nhanh và rẻ hơn. Với video chưa có phụ đề, độ trễ giảm gần một nửa và chi phí Kyma giảm khoảng 50%.
• Không còn TTS lặp 2-3 chữ ngắn khi YouTube ASR emit cue chồng nhau.
• Auto-stop khi video kết thúc tự nhiên — không phải bấm Stop, không tốn phí oan.
• Volume sliders hoạt động ổn trong mọi trạng thái, kể cả trước khi bấm Start.

What changed under the hood

• 3-layer CC fetch chain: webRequest intercept (auto-triggers YT CC button) → ytInitialPlayerResponse parse → plain URL fallback.
• Live fallback gộp Whisper + Gemini chat thành single Vertex Gemini Audio Understanding call.
• ASR overlap dedupe in regroupToSentences.
• ended event listener wired in subtitle-first / standard / realtime session types.
• webRequest permission added (scoped to *://*.youtube.com/api/timedtext*).

Install

Sideload via developer mode: download echoly-v0.5.2.zip, unzip, drag the folder into chrome://extensions with Developer mode enabled. Web Store auto-update will propagate to existing users once Chrome approves the upload.
