[v7.0.0] - 2025-10-31

Overview

Bump compatible sovity EDC CE to v16.0.0.

Detailed Changes

Major Changes

  • Reworked DsP for sovity EDC 16.0.0

    • Stronger coupling between DsP version and sovity EDC version
    • Reworked DAPS interaction
    • Migrate from /api/dsp to /api/v1/dsp
    • More opinionated configuration generation
    • All connectors and central components will be removed from db!

  • Keycloak: There is no longer a button to go back to the main login page after completing an email verification, TOTP configuration or password update.

  • Removed MDS fields Data Category, Data Subcategory, Transport Mode, Geo Reference Method, Geo Location, NUTS Locations

  • Added database migration that will delete all database entries except for organizations and users

  • Central Components can now be added declaratively via config
  • Default URLs for connector and component registration

Deployment Migration Notes

  • Data Space Portal Backend:
    • This release will delete everything except for organizations and users.
      • This is because the supported EDC versions of the previous DsP version cannot be migrated to the currently supported EDC version. Because of that, we chose to have no migration strategy for connectors.
    • Please re-register your connectors and central components after the update.
      • Central components can now be registered on startup via configuration declaratively.
  • Keycloak:
    • A Keycloak with a DAT Mapper is no longer required. You can now use a vanilla Keycloak.
    • Please remove all existing clients for connectors and central components from the Keycloak, since they will not be deleted by the database migration.
  • Catalog Crawler:
    • Remove config property edc.oauth.client.id
    • Configure config property my.edc.participant.id with the client id the central component is registered with. This should look like a regular connector ID.
