Description

1. Search Bar Takes Up Entire Screen:

   • The search bar opens up and takes the entire screen instead of just appearing at the bottom.

2. Unable to Drag Down Search Bar:

   • Once the search bar is open, you cannot drag it down or minimize it.

3. No Way to Close the Search Bar:

   • There is no option to close the search bar once it is open.

4. Unnecessary Zooming:

   • Clicking in the search bar causes the screen to zoom in unnecessarily. This interaction is terrible.
   • The zooming issue persists even after typing in a search term and viewing the results.

5. Inconsistent Zoom Behavior:

   • Sometimes the screen remains zoomed in after performing a search, and sometimes it does not.

6. Search Bar Interaction Issues:

   • Tapping the search bar in the menu should place the cursor in the search field, but instead, it opens another search interface.
   • This new search interface also takes up the entire screen and cannot be minimized or closed.

Steps to reproduce

Use a mobile phone it does not happen with desktop browsers using a mobile responsive viewport.

Isolating the problem

• I have reproduced this bug in localhost.
• This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active (eg. 2021, 2022 etc).

@obiPlabon can you address these mobile issues please? Its pretty ridiculous that the mobile experience is this bad, I've been chatting with support about this for almost 2 months now.

Hi @gaa23! I chatted with our team about your concerns and found out that we’ve already taken care of them. We even released the fixes in the public release.

You moved the popup search panel down maybe 60 pixels but other than that I'm not sure what was done. There is still this awful experience where I click in the search on the homepage or in the menu and instead of allowing me to start typing my query... it opens up a new search panel lol. That adds unnecessary clicks and is a bad user experience on mobile.
