Nothing Writing to OpenLog

I got the OpenLog chip and I put in an 8 gb microSD Class 4. I can write to the card from my PC, and when the card isn't inside the OpenLog I get an error (the blue light flashes 3 times). When I put the card in, I get a green light, which (due to the lack of the blue light) I assume means that the OpenLog sees the card. When I try the OpenLog test and the OpenLog Command test, I see nothing. I have tried it on both my arduino pro mini (3.3v) which is what it eventually needs to be connected to, and my Arduino Uno. Neither gets any result.
When I use the command test (with the < modifier), I never get past it. I added a light, and that stays on forever.

Any Suggestions?

Hey @Cohenat: sorry for the delay getting back to you. Can you actually communicate with the OpenLog over a serial connection? If you can't even communicate with the board at all, there may be an issue with the board itself and you may need to contact techsupport@sparkfun regarding getting a replacement.

It looks like there's an error in your sketch here:

if(statLED == 1)
    digitalWrite(statLED, LOW);

statLED is probably a integer value like 7 or whatever you have statLED set to. It's very unlikely it will ever be 1. I think your logic is messed up. I think you meant to do a digitalRead:

if(digitalRead(statLED) == 1)
    digitalWrite(statLED, LOW);
