Catalog Number Formatter

Needs to show the user what the format is and constrain the typed in characters.

I have worked on this some. It seems the catalog number formatting is ultimately controlled by the CatalogNumFormatName field in the associated Collection. Is that correct?

Is the accession number the only other field (besides object formatters) that has user defined formatting? I would like to treat all formatting generically. What ultimately determines the formatter that is used for accession number? It doesn't seem to be controlled by the Collection table like the catalog number is.
