Spottyberry File Renamer V3.8.3 for Windows. - J2 6-19-2026

What it does

Spottyberry File Renamer is a simple desktop tool designed to tame your digital asset chaos with fewer clicks.

It helps you quickly rename, clean up, and organize messy file collections — whether they are downloaded music tracks, camera photos, phone photos, exported files, project files, or other folders full of poorly named files.

The goal is simple: select a folder, paste the names you want, preview the result, and apply the changes without manually renaming files one by one.

Main uses:

  • Rename downloaded music tracks into clean song names
  • Organize camera or phone photos with better file names
  • Clean up folders full of random downloads
  • Rename files using a copied/pasted list
  • Keep original file extensions
  • Preview rename changes before applying
  • Revert changes if needed
  • Add a global prefix to all files
  • Remove repeated text patterns from source filenames
  • Move renamed files into a selected destination folder

What's new in V3.8.3

This release focuses on expanding the Windows version into a more complete and polished desktop workflow.

  • Added Global prefix support
  • Added Remove pattern support to strip exact repeated text from source filenames
  • Improved file name sanitizing workflow
  • Improved preview behavior when using source-only rename mode
  • Added local rename log saving for safer revert support
  • Improved revert behavior using saved rename logs when available
  • Added destination folder selection and move workflow
  • Improved help text and workflow guidance inside the app
  • Fixed the local runtime so different installed versions do not hijack each other
  • Rebuilt the Windows installer with a cleaner install / uninstall / reinstall flow
  • Updated branding and packaging for the current Windows release
