What you have (so far) works for me... it needs (at least) one example though.

I daresay you can steal one form the test suite... at least you would be able to if there were some tests. You might want to write some tests and then steal one of your tests to use as an example ;) I have created a (very) basic test fixture for the ConcurrentTaskExecutor that you can flesh out 9if you have the time that is... ConcurrentTaskExecutorTests in the 'org.springframework.scheduling.concurrent' package.

How about we rename the scheduling chapter and fold the Quartz / Timer stuff in with the TaskExecutor docs you have written into this new amalgamated chapter?

Made edits in place and checked in changes.

Two things:
(1) Should the "BusinessObject" classname be "ExampleBusinessObject" since the bean definitions reference "examples.ExampleBusinessObject"? This needs to be changed in both examples if that's the case.

(2) Not being an expert in all things Executor-related, if the following sentence were clarified, it would help topic-novice readers like me grok it better:
"Changing the reference of the above example (in which the ScheduledTimerTask is mentioned) to doIt will result in this task being executed."

Say what actually gets changed then give the expected result.

Just my two pence worth.
