Predbat makes the decisions all the time based upon the rates, losses and projected load You can change the losses for your battery and inverter https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/customisation/#battery-loss-options and set what margin you want to consider profitable to consider charging /discharging https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/customisation/#battery-margins-and-metrics-options If you turn plan debug on you can see the effective rates including losses |

Many of us have been playing the arbitrage game of filling the batteries at 7p, then selling everything surplus generated via the solar at 15p and even letting Predbat send excess from the battery at 15p at the end of the day before filling up again at 7p.
But with Intelligent Go rising to 7.5p (and Go to 9p) coupled with the export rate coming down to 12p.
At what point, after taking into account battery round trip losses, does it become not worth it?
ie, we are just cycling the batteries for little gain.
Predbat docs suggest RTL of 13%
https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/faq/#in-my-power-flow-diagram-my-grid-power-is-the-wrong-way-around
But with my AC coupled Lux system, it might be closer to 20%?
How will Predbat make that decision if it's worth it?
And is there any setting where we can override the round trip losses for our own system?
