Predbat can mananage multiple inverters, and different companies is no problem, you just have to setup apps.yaml with the appropriate entities for each inverter.

The key issue you will face is cross charging between the two inverter/batteries. One approach is to set one inverter to supply base load all the time as you suggest, which would mean you'd not manage it via predbat.

Or you can manage both inverters via predbat. I have to givenergyu inverters and cross charging isn't too much of a problem, it only really occurs at night when the inverers are in eco mode. During the day when there is solar generation they both charge and share load fine.

Overnight you can set the inverters to free…
