Assignment 1.0: Passive Reconnaissance

This week in class, we worked on covering passive reconnaissance and what the process itself might look like.

We used tools like theHarvester, a command-line scanning tool, netcraft to scan the web for resources similar to or matching the URL contents, and a script called Metagoofil to analyze the metadata of the scanned sites. As for concepts, we covered the steps of reconnaissance and the broad procedure of a pentest through class as well as through the readings.
