Can I still use # in the .prompt files as normal text?

Yes. The only special words are https://github.com/stanford-oval/chainlite/blob/main/chainlite/load_prompt.py#L16-L26
And to put comments that you want to be ignored in the prompt, follow the Jinja2 syntax {# ... #}
