Mirage Player: a native Apple TV client for Stash (beta testers wanted)

Hey everyone,

I've been building Mirage Player, a native tvOS app for browsing and playing your Stash library on Apple TV. It's been in development for a while and I'm getting close to an App Store submission — so I'm looking for guinea pigs… er, valued early adopters… to help shake out issues before launch. [Yeah, yeah I know, but I've been using em-dashes for a long time and I refuse to give 'em up.]

What it does:

• Browse scenes, performers, studios, and tags
• Native Apple TV playback
• Featured tab with Continue Watching, Newest Scenes, and your saved filter carousels
• Star ratings, play counts, and O-counts synced back to your server
• Scene markers with previews
• Resume playback
• Server-side sorting and search
• Organized/unorganized filtering
• Multiple transcoded stream selection
• Self-signed certificate support (no need to set up a public CA)
• Also works with DLNA, SMB, Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin servers

Privacy: No analytics, no tracking, no cloud services. Everything stays on your local network. Credentials are stored in the system keychain.

Current status: The app is tvOS only right now. iPadOS and macOS are in-progress, but the initial release is focused on Apple TV.

What I'm looking for:

• Anyone willing to install via TestFlight on their Apple TV
• Feedback on the browsing and playback experience
• Bug reports, especially around different Stash configurations, library sizes, and network setups
• General impressions on what works, what doesn't, and what's missing
