@steipete steipete released this 10 Oct 08:49
v0.74.0
c2f22cc

Highlights

  • Providers: Ollama API keys read the documented balance endpoint (monthly allowance, its reset and purchased credits) and browser mode parses credit wallets; Langdock adds Chrome and Safari profiles; cursor-agent logins work on Linux; bundled plugins add Cosmic AI, Aerostack, Sail Research, Sofya, Tavily, Exa, Linkup, TinyApi, Qwen Cloud Team plans and X API developer credits; Notion AI imports Edge sessions and recovers large workspaces; JetBrains AI shows top-up credits.
  • Menu bar: optionally follow the frontmost Codex, Claude, Cursor or Antigravity app in the merged icon, color icons by provider, flip the pace sign so reserve reads as positive, and scroll overflowing Overview menus with a coarse wheel; the empty Settings placeholder no longer leaves a Dock icon on macOS 27.
  • Codex accounts: saved accounts show their own cached usage and refresh individually in Settings, the CLI discovers token and managed accounts through read-only endpoints, explicitly selected managed accounts resolve fresh credentials, managed homes shared by two accounts survive removal, first-refresh errors surface after credential rotation, and commented-out endpoint overrides no longer shadow the real one.
  • Usage & Spend: inspect native Codex tool operations plus session throughput, first-token latency and duration; Hour-mode day navigation and annual token activity updates are far cheaper; the Codex history catch-up clears as soon as a refresh completes the cache; Claude history writes use copy-on-write clones on APFS; date inspection stays inside recorded buckets.
  • Claude: an external Claude Code sign-in now turns the stale "credentials not found" error into Refresh guidance without any background Keychain read, tall inline /usage panels keep the session row, Plan Usage history survives external OAuth token rotations, Enterprise monthly Extra usage stays visible in Compact Overview, plan renewal dates show in the menu and CLI, and insights-only CLI reports keep the original PTY error.
  • Linux, widgets and updates: codexbar serve stops leaking procfs read buffers and RPC pipes and returns freed glibc heap to the OS; Linux gains an opt-in compact Quick View and serve --all-accounts; a new CodexBar Accounts widget shows up to four (medium) or eight (large) account quotas with a "+N more" row, and widgets show minute-only live dates and localized percentages; all 23 languages are complete; Homebrew installs get update notifications and one-click upgrades for both the official cask and steipete/tap; Omarchy gains optional labels and per-model caps.

Added

  • Widgets: add a quota-only Accounts overview with four rows on medium, eight on large, lowest remaining quota first, and a single overflow count including accounts beyond the snapshot cap (Fixes #3144). Thanks @nicosuave for the request and @aledeul for #3938!
  • Ollama: read /api/balance in API-key mode to show included monthly usage, its reset, and purchased credit balances without browser cookies (#4399). Thanks @patiencing for the report!
  • Cursor: read cursor-agent logins on Linux when desktop authentication is unavailable or rejected, preserving existing session choices and read-only credential access (#4397). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • Langdock: support explicitly selected Chrome and Safari profiles alongside Edge, preserving session checks and existing Edge selections (#4390). Thanks @dYn36!
  • Added a menu bar Pace sign option to show reserve as positive while keeping the current default, pace colors, and conditional rules unchanged. Thanks @LPFchan! (#4394)
  • Widgets: show minute-only live dates on macOS 15+ and place localized quota percentages beside reset references, with stacked headlines on narrow tiles (#4361). Thanks @brzvsk!
  • Providers: add Cosmic AI project token quotas, Aerostack monthly AI-token usage, Sail Research credit balance and spend, and Sofya plan/purchased credits through bundled plugins, with unsupported resets and quotas left unavailable (#4354, #4355, #4357, #4358). Thanks @spencer-shadley!
  • Codex: add a read-only core resolver for explicitly selected managed accounts, returning fresh access credentials after account, workspace, and home validation (#4360). Thanks @zieglar!
  • Linux: add an opt-in compact Quick View with provider tabs and cached spending warnings, keeping the full Usage & Spend window as the default (#3973). Thanks @stackingrockss!
  • Localization: complete app and widget translations in all 23 supported languages, including credential alerts, share cards, and provider settings, with widgets following the system language (#4223). Thanks @DGPisces and @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Integrations: link Starbridge's community-maintained Android and web quota display (#4371). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • HTTP dashboard: opt into live profile and configured account usage with serve --all-accounts, private labels and errors by default, and healthy results retained when another account times out (#3890). Thanks @roboclaw-bot and @VACInc!
  • Providers: add Tavily credit usage, Exa selected-key monthly spend, Linkup prepaid USD balances, and TinyApi available credits through bundled plugins (#4346, #4347, #4348, #4351). Thanks @spencer-shadley!
  • Homebrew updates: notify once when automatic checks find a newer tap version, remember submitted notices across restarts, and open Settings → About when the notification is clicked (#4327). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Usage & Spend: show native Codex session turn throughput, first-token latency, and duration with optional performance details, while preserving cost ranks and billing totals (#4304). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!

  • Menu bar: optionally follow the frontmost Codex, Claude, Cursor, or Antigravity app in the collapsed merged icon, preserving menu and account selection (#3961, #780). Thanks @gamithasam and @matthewlloyd!
  • CLI: discover saved token and managed Codex accounts through read-only /accounts endpoints, with stable provider-scoped IDs, privacy-aware labels, and no usage refresh or credential export (#4326). Thanks @zieglar!
  • Menu bar: add an opt-in Color by provider toggle across existing icon styles and stacked rows, with monochrome contrast and menu-tracking fallbacks (#4321). Thanks @aronchick!
  • Usage & Spend: inspect native Codex tool operations within a session, including recorded durations, nonzero exits, tool errors, slow-operation filters, and on-demand command/result previews (#4363). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Qwen Cloud: show Team Token Plan credit usage, remaining credits, seats, and cycle resets through a bundled plugin, with Individual usage retained when no active Team plan is available (#3711). Thanks @tavioto!
  • X API: track prepaid and free developer-console credits with a bundled plugin, Chrome/manual cookies, and negative balances in Balance layouts (#4127). Thanks @marklights54-byte!
  • Notion AI: import signed-in Microsoft Edge sessions after Chrome on macOS, retaining prompt-free background cookie access (#4323). Thanks @jiehua!
  • Claude: show authenticated plan renewal or paid-access expiration dates in the menu, Settings preview, and CLI JSON when billing data is available, keeping dates separate from quota resets (#4324). Thanks @emanuelst!
  • JetBrains AI: show remaining purchased top-up credits in the menu and Balance layouts, keeping the Current bar on the monthly quota only (#4372). Thanks @taihua!

Fixed

  • Claude: replace stale missing-credential errors after an external login with credential-change timing and explicit Refresh guidance, without reading Keychain secrets in the background (#3395). Thanks @PoroGramr!
  • Claude: reduce history-cache writes on clone-capable macOS volumes while preserving atomic replacement, report contents, and full-write fallback (#4396). Thanks @Chipagosfinest!
  • Claude: retain session, weekly, and model-specific quotas when tall inline CLI usage panels exceed the former 50-row terminal (#4392). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • Overview: let coarse mouse wheels scroll menus that exceed the visible height while keeping row navigation for fitted menus (#4398). Thanks @Chipagosfinest!
  • Linux: stop leaking 4 KB per empty procfs child-list read during process teardown in long-running codexbar serve sessions (#4377). Thanks @MonkeyMed!
  • Pi: keep readable local cost history when a live process has an unreadable environment, and use Pi's block logo across app and web icons (#4365, #4366). Thanks @oryband!
  • Linux: release exited Codex and Grok RPC child processes so long-running codexbar serve does not exhaust file descriptors (#4367). Thanks @MonkeyMed!
  • Homebrew updates: match version checks, one-click upgrades, and recovery commands to the official or steipete/tap install receipt while preserving update notifications (#4375). Thanks @dnicolson!
  • Codex: keep managed credential homes still referenced by another saved account during removal or import repair (#4342). Thanks @vincent-peng!

CodexBar 0.73.0

Choose a tag to compare

@steipete steipete released this 07 Oct 12:26
v0.73.0
1d313fe

Highlights

  • Usage & Spend grows up: long ranges aggregate by week or month with drill-down to days and a single-day hourly view, source filtering and an amount inspector; the annual token activity grid is readable in Dark mode and pages horizontally in narrow windows; charts follow the reporting calendar and time zone across DST, and you can pick the statistics time zone in Settings.
  • Codex cost accounting: GPT-6.1 Sol long-context pricing starts at the documented 272K input tokens, Priority turns are priced from durable session settings, drifted ledger mirrors are counted once, priced subtotals and request counts survive unpriced requests, imported model rows stay visible when attribution is incomplete, and empty catch-up scans recover instead of stalling.
  • Accounts: Langdock joins as provider #91, ClinePass supports labeled API-key accounts, managed Codex accounts can be listed and promoted from the CLI and appear in the dashboard, promotion fails closed on divergent destinations, and sibling account snapshots survive selected-account refreshes.
  • Provider fixes: Ollama free-plan pages parse their Free usage meter, Kimi reconciles contradictory window readings and shows the monthly Total pool, Nous Portal credits reach the menu bar, JetBrains AI counts top-up credits and reads fresher quota from idea.log, Antigravity signs in with the consumer OAuth client and prices gpt-oss-120b, Vertex AI pagination can no longer loop, and Claude usage probes skip user hooks.
  • Lighter and faster: Codex cost reports are built once per refresh and SQLite usage rows stream instead of materializing, Claude and Vertex histories use substantially less memory, and hosted CI runs on two test shards.
  • Linux snapshots expose plan, balances, reset credits and spending; the CLI persists provider sources with config set-source and accepts all/both in hooks watch; pending config survives quitting the app.

Added

  • Linux: expose plan, balances, reset credits, pace, and opt-in cached spending in private desktop snapshots, using the shared reset-credit inventory and redacted display labels (#4285). Thanks @KihongK!
  • CLI: persist provider data sources with config set-source, validate supported sources, and use auto to clear the override without changing provider enablement or credentials (#4142, #4197). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Usage & Spend: choose the statistics time zone or pin the Mac's current time zone without editing hidden preferences; existing selections stay pinned until changed (#4185). Thanks @DGPisces!
  • Langdock: add personal session and weekly usage through a bundled plugin bound to one selected Edge profile, with live session checks and no persistent quota history or widgets (#4171). Thanks @dYn36!
  • ClinePass: store labeled API keys to track and switch between multiple subscriptions in the app and CLI (#4305). Thanks @shiquda!
  • Codex: list managed accounts and explicitly promote one from the macOS CLI, preserving displaced credentials with shared app/CLI locking, private atomic writes, and rejection of changed auth or managed-home destinations (#3191, #4234). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Dashboard: expose managed Codex accounts with saved usage, stable IDs, independent errors, and shared identity redaction in one-shot JSON and HTTP schema-v1 snapshots (#4184). Thanks @niteshmanav!
  • Usage & Spend: explore recorded spend with week/month grouping, day/hour drill-down, source filtering, and a persistent amount inspector; keep zero, unavailable, and incomplete amounts distinct across reporting time zones (#4298). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!

Changed

  • Usage & Spend: improve Dark-mode token activity contrast and keep annual activity readable in narrow windows with horizontal paging and keyboard date reveal, including right-to-left layouts (#4297). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Codex: build each file cost report once across daily, session, and project refresh views, including cached dashboard loads, while keeping pricing scopes separate (#4275, #4277). Thanks @luochen211!
  • Storage: reduce repeated path processing while scanning provider directories, preserving component totals and symbolic-link exclusions (#4286). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Usage & Spend: preserve provider brand artwork, keep source and model icons monochrome, and clarify compact breakdown rows without changing totals or menu/widget accents (#4294). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Costs: reduce retained memory when loading and updating large Claude and Vertex transcript histories.
  • Antigravity: avoid a duplicate agy --version process during each CLI usage refresh, including account-scoped fallbacks (#4254). Thanks @djbclark!
  • Costs: use substantially less memory with large Claude and Vertex histories; cached cost history no longer keeps a second encoded copy in memory, cache files load from mapped reads and save as streams, and repeated session IDs and model names share storage.
  • Costs: reduce temporary memory while rebuilding Claude cost reports, reloading the report cache, and merging Pi usage that adds no exact-time entries.
  • Costs: reduce temporary memory when loading Codex reports, scans, and workspace history by decoding SQLite usage rows as they arrive (#4291). Thanks @kristofferR!
  • Menu bar: make Cursor Grok Bot and other declared extra allowances selectable in provider metric settings, with labeled percentages and a dash for unknown readings (#4207). Thanks @marklights54-byte!

Fixed

  • Kimi: use the more-exhausted reading when matching legacy counters and ratio pools disagree, and include monthly Total usage in CLI and text menu output (#4306). Thanks @shiva3593 for the report!
  • Ollama: recognize the Free usage meter on free-plan settings pages and show its included-credit usage and reset in the Monthly bar (#4308). Thanks @Thomas-Basadonne!
  • Codex: reject account promotion when legacy saved credentials conflict or a preservation destination changes before the live swap (#4301). Thanks @vincent-peng!
  • Vertex AI: stop Cloud Monitoring pagination when a page token repeats, preserve the collected quota samples, and cap unbounded pagination (#4318). Thanks @cheek-walnut!
  • Claude: disable user hooks in usage probes so background polling cannot run SessionStart commands (#4292). Thanks @IvanWest33!
  • Claude: let explicit Refresh request Keychain access with direct-read consent and an allowing prompt policy, while ordinary OAuth polling stays noninteractive (#4257). Thanks @stromseng!
  • Antigravity: use agy's consumer OAuth client for new Google sign-ins and ask affected accounts to sign in again instead of showing placeholder 100% quotas (#4293). Thanks @oldcai!
  • Usage & Spend: retain known daily request counts when another source cannot count requests, showing the subtotal with ≥ while wholly unavailable counts remain a dash; partial costs do not erase request totals (#4295). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Codex costs: a request with unknown historical pricing no longer hides the estimate for the other requests of its model and day. The day shows the priced subtotal as a partial estimate with its unpriced request count, and a day with an unpriced model is no longer reported as fully priced (#4273, #4278, #4279). Thanks @gabrielrojasc and @luochen211!
  • Claude: label a CLI /usage subscription notice without quota data as a configuration issue instead of an authentication failure in logs and diagnostics (#4225, related to #4083). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Claude: retain rejected-cache-write recovery through OAuth token refresh without losing refreshed credentials or replacing a newer credential's recovery (#4271). Thanks @vincent-peng!
  • CLI: accept and deduplicate both and all in hooks watch, and correct provider help for commands that require one provider (#4252). Thanks @vincent-peng!
  • Codex: preserve terminal local-cost catch-up pauses across scheduled refreshes while allowing explicit retries (#4251). Thanks @vincent-peng!
  • Codex: preserve sibling account readings and credits across selected-account refreshes and restarts when account widgets are disabled (#4307). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Settings: finish pending configuration writes before normal quit so edits made immediately before quitting survive a restart (#4224). Thanks @Shenrui-Ma!
  • Codex costs: preserve saved request pricing during bounded cache upgrades when ledger and token-count timestamps differ (#4270). Thanks @gabrielrojasc!
  • Codex: price Priority turns from durable session-log tier evidence across resumed scans and subsequent turns without repeated settings events, preserving saved trace pricing and existing cost history (#4274, #4276). Thanks @luochen211!
  • Antigravity: estimate recorded GPT-OSS-120B medium usage at Google's Vertex list price, including the first pricing refresh, while keeping unavailable prices unknown (#4258). Thanks @urda!
  • Codex costs: avoid double-counting drifted request-ledger mirrors, including delayed observations after context compaction; keep saved prices through the repair (#4289, #4290). Thanks @gabrielrojasc and @kcharlan!
  • Codex costs: retry one empty time-limited catch-up pass after cooldown and clear dashboard stalls when another scan completes the same history (#4296). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Codex costs: apply the documented 272K long-context boundary to GPT-6.1 Sol and other OpenAI models, including older pricing catalogs, and reprice cached estimates (#4302). Thanks @wallmage!
  • Nous Portal: show available credits in menu bar Balance layouts and automatic text for accounts without a monthly grant (#4314). Thanks @yuping917!
  • CLI: include the operating-system error when a PTY command cannot allocate a terminal.
  • Usage & Spend: retain valid imported model subtotals when other OpenCodex requests have no token evidence, preserving incomplete markers in exports and excluding partial model rankings from sharing (#4299). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • JetBrains AI: show monthly credit usage accurately when top-up credits exist, keep partial quota data on a cons...

@steipete steipete released this 04 Oct 19:33
v0.72.0
cfee869

Highlights

  • New providers and balances: WorkBuddy (Tencent) joins as provider #90 with its monthly credits allowance; Claude shows promotional cloud-session credits separately from prepaid credits; LithosAI puts its prepaid balance in the menu bar; Grok exports purchased credits in usage --json.
  • Antigravity works again on 2.19.1: Login with Google no longer fails with invalid_client (discovery now pairs each OAuth client id with its own secret), and additional Gemini profile homes can be combined into one local token/cost history.
  • Sign-in and cookies: explicit refreshes can prompt for Keychain access again for every plugin cookie provider, the CLI explains rejected sessions instead of "missing cookie", SweetCookieKit 0.5.5 adds Aside, Opera and Opera Neon, and Muse imports from every supported browser.
  • Lighter on CPU: the hidden "Surprise me" blink timer no longer burns 6–10% of a core in brand-icon mode.
  • Codex accounting: resumed sessions no longer zero out today's usage after a counter reset, local-history catch-up publishes today's tokens before sleeping, saved limit-reset credits appear in Claude OAuth usage, and Usage & Spend separates independent Codex chats from projects.
  • Linux: Claude web usage works with a manual session cookie.

Added

  • Claude: allow the claude.ai web source on Linux when a manual sessionKey cookie is configured; browser cookie import remains macOS-only (#4241). Thanks @5p00kyy!
  • Grok: export purchased Extra Usage Credits as a separate USD balance in usage JSON, preserving zero balances and included quotas (#4239, #4243). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao and @djbclark!
  • LithosAI: show the prepaid balance beside the menu bar icon and in Balance layouts, including merged mode and zero, negative, and sub-cent amounts (#4230). Thanks @apoorvdarshan!
  • Claude: show promotional cloud-session credits separately from prepaid credits in menus, settings, and CLI output, including exhausted, expired, and unavailable states (#4194, #4214). Thanks @dstier-git!
  • Antigravity: opt in to additional Gemini profile homes in provider settings or config.json to combine local token/cost history without double-counting copied conversations (#4177). Thanks @keeuu!
  • WorkBuddy: show the monthly credits allowance, plan name, and cycle reset from the www.workbuddy.cn billing API using Chrome or manual session cookies (#4226, #4227). Thanks @sudoHG!

Fixed

  • Browser cookies: distinguish rejected sessions, permission failures, and provider outages in CLI refresh guidance without exposing cookie values (#4245). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Claude: include saved limit-reset credits in OAuth usage while preserving quota and spending when the optional inventory query is rejected (#3895, #4232). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Antigravity: discover matching Google OAuth client credentials from Antigravity 2.19.1 and explain how to recover when Google rejects the client (#4229). Thanks @mvicari!
  • Usage & Spend: hide empty Antigravity unknown-model rows while preserving request counts, token totals, and complete coverage (#4246). Thanks @urda!
  • Codex: recover resumed-session usage after counter resets using owned request records, without double-counting legacy mirrors or copied child history; preserve saved prices through bounded cache upgrades (#3303, #4195). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Browser cookies: let explicit refreshes retry Keychain permission across plugin providers, explain suppressed imports, and recognize successful nonpersistent sessions (#4231). Thanks @apoorvdarshan!
  • Codex: continue bounded local-history discovery before sleeping so validated current-day tokens can publish promptly during catch-up, while preserving power limits and complete-window checks (#3508). Thanks @kernnel!
  • Browser cookies: adopt SweetCookieKit 0.5.5 for Aside, Opera, and Opera Neon support, including Cursor account switching, and let Muse (muse.ai) automatically import from the full supported browser catalog (#4215, #2429). Thanks @mvicari!
  • Muse Code: keep the selected dev.meta.ai browser team quota working when the session's /api/auth/me email is blank, by matching the session user to the login email in the team member list (#4228). Thanks @enieuwy!
  • Menu bar: fix recurring high CPU usage in brand icon mode by stopping hidden Surprise me animations while preserving critter fallback blinking and the saved preference (#4244). Thanks @lg!
  • Claude: restore the credential cache after a rejected write using an unexpired, consented in-memory credential even after 30 minutes, while preserving profile, invalidation, and prompt-policy checks (#3395, #4242). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Usage & Spend: separate explicitly marked independent Codex chats from projects, use saved chat titles, and hide titles and paths in privacy mode; retain project grouping when ownership is uncertain (#4247). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!

CodexBar 0.71.1

Choose a tag to compare

@steipete steipete released this 03 Oct 09:10
v0.71.1
c04fc93

Highlights

  • Lighter cost tracking: unchanged Codex refreshes reuse the decoded local history instead of decoding the whole cache, empty session histories stop being rewritten on every pass, Claude keeps parsed transcript windows across pricing changes, and Grok scans no longer walk session artifact trees.
  • Codex weekly quota recovers after a reset: when the previous snapshot had no credit inventory, the fresh quota, reset credits, and update time are published instead of "1% left" lingering for hours.
  • Clearer cookie sign-in: every browser-cookie provider now names the browsers automatic import supports and offers Manual for the rest, instead of saying "Chrome" regardless.
  • Steadier cards: the Cursor card shows Grok Bot's weekly pace again, provider status can no longer be overwritten by a late response from an older refresh, long statistics headings wrap instead of truncating, and widgets follow the menu accent for the providers whose widget color was pinned by accident.
  • Spend dashboard keeps projects with the same folder name apart and shows saved Codex project names, so renaming a project no longer splits its totals.

Fixed

  • Codex: refresh weekly quota, reset credits, and update time after a confirmed reset when the previous snapshot lacks credit inventory (#4210).
  • Codex: reuse decoded local cost history across unchanged refreshes, including priority-cursor updates (#4200, #4205). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Codex: avoid repeatedly rewriting empty session histories during local cost refreshes (#4201, #4203). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Claude: keep parsed transcript windows reusable when pricing changes during a refresh, while recalculating the next report with the new prices (#4202, #4204). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Pi: recognize OMP one-hour cache-write counters and reprice older cached estimates without double-counting tokens (#4121, #4176). Thanks @vincent-peng!
  • Grok: skip session artifact trees during local usage scans and exclude nested signal files from token totals (#4209, #4208). Thanks @alexander-schneider!
  • Usage & Spend: keep same-named project directories separate and show saved Codex project names on fresh and cached loads, preserving totals across renames and hiding paths with personal information (#4172). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Cursor: restore Grok Bot weekly pace and reserve when the reported period starts mid-week (#4221, #4222). Thanks @dimpurr!
  • Status: prevent older status requests from replacing newer incidents, emitting false recovery hooks, or scheduling redundant retries (#4175). Thanks @Shenrui-Ma!
  • Widgets: use current menu accents for Abacus, Amp, Augment, Bedrock, Cline Pass, Codebuff, Cursor, DeepSeek, Devin, Kiro, LongCat, Mistral, NeuralWatt, Sub2API, and Venice while preserving intentionally distinct widget colors (#4199). Thanks @raulgg!
  • Menu: wrap long statistics headings, including estimated current-window tokens, so they remain readable in the two-column provider card across app languages (#4193).
  • Command Code: normalize bare manual session tokens with the current production cookie name while preserving explicit cookie headers (#4192). Thanks @rodrigovzq!
  • Browser cookies: name each plugin provider's supported automatic browsers in settings and cookie sign-in guidance, with Manual as the alternative for other browsers (#4215).

CodexBar 0.71.0

Choose a tag to compare

@steipete steipete released this 02 Oct 17:52
v0.71.0
cb5f0cb

Highlights

  • Two new providers: Muse (muse.ai) and LithosAI read your own subscription usage and balance with your browser session, bringing CodexBar to 89 providers (#4042, #4196). Thanks @lg, @mvicari, @RowboTony, and @apoorvdarshan!
  • Safer by default: CodexBar never runs binaries from the current directory or relative PATH entries, and Codex discovery refuses unsafe Node environments and PATH entries before launching anything (#4136, #4143). Thanks @maugt and @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Much lighter cost tracking: a long series of CPU and allocation cuts for Claude, Vertex, Codex, and local agent logs, plus cached Gatekeeper verdicts for unchanged CLIs. Thanks @dustball!
  • Antigravity for every account: saved Google accounts each get their own quota through private, temporary sessions, OAuth quota requests identify as the Antigravity Hub client, and token totals are mapped correctly (#4103, #4102, #4124, #4133). Thanks @Sogl, @oldcai, and @urda!
  • Steadier sync and agent awareness: iCloud Sync recovers after a Mac is removed and applies results atomically, Agent-aware Adaptive notices Codex activity from rollout freshness, and agent sessions survive in-place CLI updates (#4144, #4161, #4119, #4120). Thanks @hhh2210 and @slavakurilyak!
  • Opt-in reset notifications tell you when a session or weekly window resets, per provider and account (#4138). Thanks @zleo-ai!

Security

  • Resolve bundled helpers and plugin resources from the running executable, and ignore working-directory-dependent CLI search paths (#4136). Thanks @maugt!

Added

  • Muse (muse.ai): track Free, Power, and Maximum weekly usage, tokens left, top-ups, resets, and renewal with Chrome or manual cookies, separately from Muse Code (#3797, #4042). Thanks @lg, @mvicari, and @RowboTony!
  • LithosAI: show console prepaid balance and optional daily/monthly spend using Chrome or manual session cookies, with host-owned same-origin CSRF handling (#3868, #4196). Thanks @apoorvdarshan!
  • Antigravity: fetch quotas for saved Google accounts through private, temporary agy sessions, verify each account's identity, and retain refreshed credentials without changing the ambient CLI login (#4103). Thanks @Sogl!
  • Notifications: opt-in reset alerts name the provider and session or weekly window, keep restored notices on the correct account, respect Hide personal info, and remember announced reset boundaries across refreshes and restarts (#4138). Thanks @zleo-ai!

Changed

  • Agent-aware Adaptive: use recent Codex rollout modification times to keep refreshes at five minutes even without a recognized live process, preserving consent and scan limits without reading rollout contents for activity (#4119, #4118). Thanks @hhh2210!
  • Antigravity: restore OAuth quota requests for saved Google accounts with the shared Hub client identity (#4102). Thanks @oldcai!
  • Docs: link the community codexbar-kde Plasma widget for Linux usage meters and agent-session views (#4117). Thanks @materemias!
  • Costs: Claude and Vertex history does far less CPU work: unchanged history is not re-saved or re-priced, reports are not rebuilt when model pricing is unchanged, older transcripts and Claude/Vertex separation are scanned cheaply, and pricing refreshes keep historical fallback rates.
  • Codex: cost scans reuse listing metadata, cache decoders, thread database discovery, and day keys, conversation titles load cheaply for large histories, and cached logs reconcile without extra filesystem probes.
  • Less background work elsewhere: identifying local agent processes, importing browser sessions for Devin, MiniMax, and Windsurf, and Keychain preflight all use less CPU.
  • Codex: reduce repeated Gatekeeper CPU use for unchanged standalone hardened-runtime CLIs on fully enforcing hosts, checking every architecture’s complete signature before reusing a verdict (#4078, #4080). Thanks @dustball!

Fixed

  • Codex: discover the current ChatGPT bundled CLI launcher and skip npm launchers with missing native payloads or unsafe Node discovery environments so managed login can use a working fallback (#4143). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • iCloud Sync: prevent cancelled or superseded sync applies and removed-record recovery from overwriting provider settings, preferences, fleet records, or newer sync metadata (#4161).
  • Claude: retain an established CLI source after transient timeouts and loading stalls so Auto refreshes can retry without an unrelated missing-OAuth-credentials warning (#4129).
  • Claude: exclude usage-insights tool names and percentages from quota and account parsing (#4083).
  • Claude: keep configured MCP servers out of the direct /usage fallback (#4112). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Menu bar: show the remaining quota when only the third usage window is available, including Gemini Flash Lite-only accounts, through the shared metric fallback (#4128). Thanks @devYRPauli!
  • Codex: finish cost scans with missing-parent forks while retaining their unmetered usage and restoring reporting for unaffected dates (#4140).
  • Cursor: keep Linux serve refreshes authenticated when earlier HTTP responses leave stale cookies in the process session (#4137).
  • Menu bar: apply explicit provider reordering to separate icons, including changes made in merged mode, while retaining stable identities and saved menu bar slots (#4125).
  • Pi: include Amazon Bedrock history with regional catalog prices, price one-hour cache writes correctly, and refresh older cached estimates (#4121).
  • iCloud Sync: recover a live Mac's saves after its records are removed from another Mac, without resetting shared sync state (#4144).
  • iCloud Sync: register for silent change notifications when the signed build supports push; release provisioning must enable that capability for automatic delivery (#4132).
  • Claude: answer current and legacy CLI trust dialogs only in the isolated probe directory, reject redirected paths, and wait for real quota values when usage insights are visible (#4115, #4083). Thanks @sudoHG!
  • Agent Sessions: keep sessions that are still running after an in-place CLI update deleted their binary, such as Claude Code sessions started before an auto-update, instead of dropping them from the menu and codexbar sessions (#4120). Thanks @slavakurilyak!
  • OpenCode: restore migrated Console workspace quota and prepaid balance, preserve legacy sessions, and label 30-day spend without inventing a monthly spending limit (#4131, #4139). Thanks @luochen211!
  • Claude: treat unmeasured session placeholders as unavailable while retaining real weekly quotas in menus and the CLI (#4107). Thanks @emanuelst!
  • Claude: show the claude-swap executable field and its help beneath the enabled account toggle (#4122). Thanks @laitifranz!
  • Claude: use a known model-scoped weekly quota for automatic and combined menu bar percentages when the regular quota windows are absent (#4126).
  • Antigravity: exclude model IDs from local token totals, correct visible and reasoning output counts, and estimate safety-routed Gemini Flash usage (#4124). Thanks @urda!
  • Antigravity: apply schema text limits per database so normal histories do not become partial after a few hundred sessions, and retain valid rows around oversized schemas (#4133). Thanks @urda!

Highlights

  • Quota burndown: Plan Usage now shows the recorded remaining-quota burndown for Codex and Claude next to utilization history, with capture age and calendar endpoints (#4085). Thanks @callmejustdodo!
  • Refreshed provider colors: 16 accents now match official brand sources, while colors that would hurt menu bar or widget readability keep their current values (#4075). Thanks @elijahfriedman!
  • More accurate costs: Mistral usage is priced by event type, API zone, and service tier, Antigravity and Codex model aliases and published Cyber rates are priced, and Mistral's Monthly Plan can drive the menu bar metric (#4076, #4094, #4072). Thanks @T0mSIlver and @urda!
  • Hardened diagnostics: every stored process environment is redacted from debug and test output, with a repository guard against regressions (#4106).

Security

  • Redact every remaining stored process environment in the app, CLI, provider contexts, and session scanners, and guard against new unredacted environment properties with a repository check (#4106).

Added

  • Plan Usage: show recorded remaining-quota burndown for Codex and Claude alongside utilization history, with capture age and calendar endpoints (#4085). Thanks @callmejustdodo!

Changed

  • Provider colors: refresh 16 verified brand accents while preserving readable menu colors and existing widget palettes; synchronize website and social preview colors (#4075). Thanks @elijahfriedman!

Fixed

  • Settings: keep the Usage & Spend title and Refresh button readable by giving the time-range picker its own row (#4064). Thanks @elijahfriedman!
  • Costs: price documented Antigravity and Codex model aliases, add published Cyber fallback rates, and preserve Sol estimates across the August 21 price change (#4094). Thanks @urda!
  • Mistral: offer Monthly Plan in the provider's Menu bar metric picker, so the menu bar and widgets can show the Vibe allowance without a defaults write (#4072). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • Mistral: price billing usage by event type, API zone, and service tier, so a per-second audio or priority price no longer inflates API spend and 30-day token cost (#4076). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • CLI: keep probe timeout and cancellation cleanup responsive on busy hosts with large process tables (#4108).

@steipete steipete released this 28 Sep 18:43
v0.69.0

Highlights

  • Plugins feel native: user plugins now get their own switcher tab by default, and Notion AI, ZoomMate, and LongCat run as bundled plugins with browser sessions kept private to the host (#4074, #4098, #4059).
  • Lighter on CPU and disk: Claude and Vertex cost history is reused instead of re-decoded on every scan, the history cache is about a quarter smaller, and cost scans no longer expand priority days back to year 1 (#4053, #4092, #4045). Thanks @djbclark for the CPU sample that pinned this down!
  • Steadier refreshes: Codex rereads credentials while the CLI rewrites them and picks up plan upgrades right away, a stalled Keychain signature check can no longer freeze every provider, and Claude recovers from rejected cache writes on the next refresh (#4088, #4089). Thanks @lozcalver and @SilentKnight87!
  • Widgets and the menu bar hold on to good data: each widget provider keeps its last good reading after failed refreshes, and corrupt saved menu bar positions are never restored (#4095, #4082).
  • More accurate numbers: Grok token totals and model names survive billing outages, Claude shows saved limit resets from the Web source, Kimi marks windows blocked once the monthly pool is exhausted, Antigravity shows Starter quotas, and TypeSafe shows its balance in the menu bar (#4093, #4056, #4048, #4091, #4084, #4050).
  • Leaner under the hood: the app ships with about 700 fewer lines of code than 0.68.0, even with the new plugin host capabilities.

Security

  • Test and debug output no longer includes environment variable values: stored environments render only an entry count, and test runners scrub credential-shaped variables before running (#4097).

Added

  • Claude: show saved usage-limit resets and their expiry from the Web source in the menu and codexbar usage details (#4048). Thanks @enieuwy!

Changed

  • Plugins: user plugins now get their own switcher tab by default when Merge Icons is on; set topLevel: false to keep the appended card (#4074).
  • Notion AI, ZoomMate, and LongCat: usage fetching runs through bundled plugins with host-owned cookie sessions, preserving browser-session reuse, validated cache migration, Notion over-quota values, ZoomMate credits history, and LongCat fuel-pack data (#4098, #4059).
  • Menu bar: the persistent Refresh row drops its decorative icon to match other menu actions, keeping the shortcut and accessibility action (#4057). Thanks @elijahfriedman!

Fixed

  • Codex: retry brief credential-file publication races before reporting refresh errors, and discard the previous plan's quota baseline after a subscription change so fresh usage appears (#4088, #3635, #3389).
  • Codex: publish newly validated token and cost totals after each catch-up pass, even while historical scanning is still pending (#4087, #3508). Thanks @kernnel!
  • Claude: retain valid in-memory credentials after a rejected OAuth cache write once stale-cache cleanup succeeds, so the next automatic refresh recovers without a manual Refresh (#4089, #3395).
  • Keychain: bound stalled code-signature validation so it cannot hold cache locks and freeze all provider refreshes (#4089, #3249).
  • Claude: keep priced local spend as a partial estimate when an incomplete Pi or OMP mirror is included, across Usage & Spend, Overview, and sharing (#4052). Fixes #4051. Thanks @BUKOWSKIREAL!
  • Claude and Vertex: reuse unchanged decoded cost-history caches, skip encoding unchanged caches, and compact retained row fields to cut CPU and disk writes during refreshes (#4053, #4092, #3882). Thanks @djbclark!
  • Costs: keep All-history priority checks proportional to recorded days instead of generating centuries of empty days, preserving older logs (#4045). Thanks @djbclark!
  • Configuration: treat empty or whitespace-only config files like missing files so usage keeps working; malformed non-empty files still report errors (#4081, #4071). Thanks @kvnloo!
  • Menu bar: reject corrupt saved positions during status-item visibility changes and removal while preserving valid placement across restarts (#4082, #3355).
  • Widgets: keep each eligible provider's last good reading and original age after failed refreshes, even when another provider is unavailable, disabled, or changes accounts (#4095, #3500).
  • Adaptive refresh: recognize ChatGPT's nested Codex app-server with per-scan running-process validation and update-aware bundle assessment caching (#4090, #4069). Thanks @jaychou0642-create!
  • Grok: keep local token totals visible in Usage & Spend and shared cards across wider history views and billing outages (#4093, #3716). Thanks @Chipagosfinest!
  • Grok: keep the product usage breakdown on the grok.com billing fallback, with bounded shared protobuf decoding (#4041). Thanks @olddonkey!
  • Token history: show observed model names when per-model totals are unavailable, including Grok local sessions (#4056). Fixes #4054. Thanks @BUKOWSKIREAL!
  • Kimi: point stale CLI sessions to running kimi or adding an API key in Settings, keeping web fallback and leaving rotating CLI credentials read-only (#4086, #4063). Thanks @kid0114!
  • Kimi Code: mark shorter windows as blocked when the monthly membership pool is exhausted, without fresh quota or pace forecasts (#4091, #3536).
  • z.ai: explain unavailable Coding Plan usage for empty or unsupported quota shapes while keeping recognized quotas and analytics (#4091, #2522).
  • Antigravity: preserve grouped OAuth quotas, including weekly-only Starter allowances, and honor explicit quota-window cadence (#4084, #2427, #3789).
  • Antigravity: usage probes no longer leave MCP server processes behind; cleanup only touches processes carrying the probe's inherited ownership marker, so unrelated processes in the same directory are never killed (#4077). Thanks @bcharleson!
  • TypeSafe: show the credit balance in the menu bar and layout preview instead of missing-value dashes (#4050). Thanks @lg!
  • Pi: preserve the directory marker for session roots that do not exist yet (#4067). Thanks @Sogl!
  • Agent Sessions: avoid the macOS 15 isolated-teardown crash while keeping task cancellation and Stay Awake cleanup (#4068). Thanks @Sogl!
  • Browser sessions: keep distinct host-only and domain-scoped cookies when merging stores from the same profile, and preserve interactive cookie-refresh authorization across plugin engine callbacks (#4059, #4098).
  • CLI and development: macOS CLI release builds and the test suite compile on Xcode 26.3 again, and CI now builds app, CLI, and tests on that toolchain (#4058, #4079, #4070). Thanks @RowboTony!

Highlights

  • Codex account switching works end to end: a System Account switch now restarts the running app-server daemon even when its control socket is a symlink, and Usage Dashboard opens the current analytics page (#3990, #4018, #4004). Thanks @massdo and @RowboTony!
  • A steadier menu bar on macOS 26.6: no blank slots after quitting, stable status-item identities through recovery and updates (fewer duplicate Bartender entries), and opt-in startup diagnostics for Control Center hosting problems (#4021, #3201, #3377). Thanks @mymatejackson, @giuseppebisemi, @WilliamTso, and @zxfxpower!
  • One-click Homebrew updates for cask installs, with Homebrew staying in charge of the installation (#3994). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!

Thanks @shirishpothi, @LachieFREEDOM, @enieuwy, and @T0mSIlver!
  • Usage & Spend names and ranks Codex sessions with privacy masking and counts Nous-billed ledger activity, and the web dashboard remembers Used or Remaining per browser (#4020, #4008, #4013). Thanks @urda, @Reztahla, and @andybergon!
  • Leaner under the hood: Abacus now runs as a bundled plugin, 31 bundled-plugin providers are declared through shared specs, and the app ships with about 1,300 fewer lines of code than 0.67.0.

Added

  • Mistral: show the Vibe Monthly Plan window, with its used / total / remaining amounts, in codexbar usage text output and the menu descriptor (#4025). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • ClinePass: reuse an existing Cline browser sign-in session when no API key is configured, without copying or refreshing tokens (#4026). Thanks @shirishpothi!
  • Muse Code: optionally show the explicitly selected dev.meta.ai browser team’s quota when the login omits quotas, with cookies Off by default and team choices in settings (#4011). Fixes #4002. Thanks @enieuwy!
  • Mistral: show the Vibe Monthly Plan in widgets when the Mistral menu bar metric is set to Monthly Plan (#4038). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • Updates: offer one-click Homebrew cask upgrades from the menu and About while keeping Homebrew responsible for installation (#3994). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!

  • Plugins: support host-encoded form POST, optional POST enrichment with bounded collection, and time-zone-aware calendar month arithmetic on both engines.

Changed

  • Abacus AI: fetch credits and optional billing through the bundled plugin, preserving calendar-month pacing and Chrome-first sessions, with bounded retries and a five-second billing budget (#4047).
  • Usage & Spend: name Codex sessions from local thread metadata, rank them by cost with stable ties, and mask session titles and projects when Hide personal information is enabled (#4020). Thanks @urda!
  • Settings: simplify menu bar layout controls while keeping token-removal instructions in the section footer (#3999). Thanks @elijahfriedman!
  • Settings: dim inactive merged-icon labels while keeping their titles and explanations accessible, including stacked-style restrictions (#4030). Thanks @elijahfriedman!

Fixed

  • Codex: resolve control socket symlinks when checking the running daemon, so System Account switches do not silently skip its restart (#3990, #4018). Thanks @massdo!
  • Codex: open usage analytics from Usage Dashboard instead of the retired settings route. Fixes #4004. Thanks @RowboTony!
  • Menu bar: prevent blank status-item slots after normal quit on macOS 26.6.2 while preserving saved icon positions (#4022). Fixes #4021. Thanks @mymatejackson and @giuseppebisemi!
  • Menu bar: keep stable status-item identities through recovery removal after updates while preserving saved icon positions. Fixes #3201. Thanks @WilliamTso and @zxfxpower!
  • Claude: keep automatic refreshes using an unexpired credential already in memory when the OAuth cache is temporarily unavailable past its 30-minute refresh window (#3395, #3390). Thanks @lozcalver!
  • Mistral: accept a manual Cookie header in the Linux CLI, which refused it as macOS-only, so Linux shows the Included API and Vibe Monthly Plan allowances (#4024). Thanks @T0mSIlver!
  • Venice: accept Clerk session cookies in Web and Manual modes, authenticate with a Bearer token, and explain active-tab recovery for expired sessions. Fixes #3940. Thanks @LachieFREEDOM!
  • Nous Portal: include Nous-billed OpenCodex ledger activity in Usage & Spend, preserving estimated or unpriced costs separately from Portal credits. Fixes #4008. Thanks @Reztahla!
  • Cursor: keep all-history cost requests within the dashboard API's supported date range so Usage & Spend can refresh (#4028). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Plugins: retire timed-out or cancelled script contexts before allowing a retry, so the next refresh cannot reuse a poisoned worker.
  • Settings: clarify that sidebar dots report provider service health and use gray until status is known. Fixes #4009. Thanks @harjothkhara and @jayn2u!

Highlights

  • Reporting periods are one shared model: pick calendar month-to-date or all available history in menus, Usage & Spend, the CLI, the HTTP cost output, and widgets, with rolling windows and the pinned cost time zone preserved (#2087, #2859, #1708).
  • Portable preferences: export and import UI settings as versioned JSON from Settings or the CLI, keep them in dotfiles, and customize the provider-switcher shortcuts (#1282, #3457). Thanks @kiankyars and @lghsigma597!
  • Opt-in Stay Awake keeps the Mac from idle-sleeping while a local agent session is live, and opt-in credential-expiry notifications tell you when a provider needs a fresh login (#2740, #2512). Thanks @kocaemre and @LeoLin990405!
  • Plugins can keep small persistent checkpoints, and Sakana AI now runs as a bundled plugin with concurrent optional balance collection on both engines (#3170). Thanks @CrackedPoly!
  • Burn Down widgets work for every provider quota that reports usage, a window, and a reset, including Devin daily/weekly and Cursor billing cycles (#3097). Thanks @thatlev!
  • Four more providers and richer breakdowns: xKiro, Raycast, and Aixy join the registry, LiteLLM shows per-model activity, the Claude Admin API breaks spend down by workspace, and Grok lists product usage shares (#3729, #3960, #3958, #3432, #2350, #3975).
  • Fixes worth calling out: a System Account switch now reaches the running Codex app-server so /status follows the new account (#3990), an explicit browser-cookie denial survives restarts and credential files are staged privately (#3986), long Usage & Spend ranges lay out about six times faster (#3998), and the bundled QuickJS-NG is 0.17.0 with upstream memory-safety fixes (#3987). Thanks @massdo, @bo-vavrik, and @Yuxin-Qiao!

Added

  • Plugins: preserve small non-secret checkpoints across app and CLI restarts with isolated, bounded string storage and explicit approval (#3170). Thanks @CrackedPoly!
  • Sakana AI: run billing parsing as a bundled plugin on macOS and Linux while preserving concurrent, bounded optional balance collection on both engines.
  • Widgets: offer Burn Down for compatible provider quotas, including Devin daily/weekly and Cursor billing cycles, with accurate labels and preserved Codex/Claude selections (#3097). Thanks @thatlev!
  • xKiro: track the account's daily free-token allowance and midnight UTC reset through the documented, unmetered usage API, separately from paid balances (#3729).
  • Raycast: show monthly AI credits and renewal through a bundled plugin, with Chrome/manual cookies and expired-session recovery (#3960). Thanks @raulgg!
  • Aixy: track key-scoped usage and applicable personal/shared budgets, including idle keys with zero spend (#3958). Thanks @oscarcpozas!
  • LiteLLM: optionally show per-model input/output/total tokens and logged requests for the last 30 days while preserving personal/team budgets (#3432). Thanks @anyingiit!
  • Claude Admin API: optionally break down 30-day spend by workspace while preserving organization totals (#2350). Thanks @ShawNova!
  • Grok: show product usage shares beneath the quota bar using the existing billing response, while preserving the total and reset credits (#3975). Thanks @olddonkey!
  • Preferred Currency: add NZD, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, BRL, MXN, ZAR, THB, IDR, VND, and UAH for spend estimates with daily exchange rates and offline fallback (#3984). Thanks @realistkrook!

  • OpenCode Go: include recorded local token counts in daily and per-model history without inventing costs or treating missing counts as zero (#3995). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Usage & Spend: start long daily ledgers with the newest 30 rows and a Show all control, reducing initial layout work while preserving full-period totals and charts (#3998). Thanks @Yuxin-Qiao!
  • Security: preserve browser-cookie denial across restarts and CLI configuration, and stage credential writes privately before atomic replacement (reported in #3986). Thanks @bo-vavrik!
  • Provider plugins: update bundled QuickJS-NG to 0.17.0 with upstream memory-safety and numeric-correctness fixes (#3987). Thanks @bo-vavrik!
  • OpenRouter: explain the required API key field instead of reporting no available fetch strategy, and clarify where regular and Management keys belong (#3966, #3969). Thanks @harjothkhara!
  • Antigravity: let menu-bar layouts pin Gemini and Claude/GPT weekly percentages separately when each allowance is available (#3394). Thanks @ksuchoi216!
  • Antigravity: preserve decoded local history as a marked lower bound when later databases exhaust the schema budget, while retaining hard scan limits (#3957). Thanks @Niclassslua!
  • Mistral: count plan-covered API, Le Chat, and Vibe Code tokens in usage history while keeping spend based on billed units (#3953). Thanks @welcoMattic!
  • Codex costs: preserve inherited cumulative counters across direct forks and empty intermediate sessions, preventing copied history from becoming oversized billable requests (#3524). Thanks @korboybeats and @vnnkl!
  • Plugins: compute daily reset times from the refresh clock in both plugin engines, so xKiro and other daily-reset plugins report the same reset the rest of the refresh saw.

CodexBar 0.66.0

@steipete steipete released this 24 Sep 18:15
v0.66.0

Highlights

  • Ten more providers run as bundled plugins (OpenAI, Fireworks, Perplexity, Qoder, Manus, T3 Chat, DeepInfra, ZenMux, Chutes, ai&), and Atlas Cloud, Vercel AI Gateway, DevPass, and llmman join as plugin-first providers — 84 providers total.
  • CLI config writes no longer delete user plugin settings and secrets (#3944), and menu bar layouts show balances for every balance provider (#3904).
  • Lower background cost: Codex and Claude history caches stop rewriting unchanged files, Cursor backs off geo-blocked requests, and stalled menu catch-up passes no longer loop.

Added

  • Atlas Cloud: show account-wide available USD balance through the documented API-key endpoint (#2714). Thanks @clairernovotny!
  • Vercel AI Gateway: show team-wide USD balance and lifetime spend through the documented API-key endpoint (#2975). Thanks @pikant!
  • DevPass: track plan credits, premium weekly usage and resets, and API-key spending through the documented LLM Gateway API (#3433). Thanks @MichelKerkmeester!
  • llmman: show how much of a local llmman serve daemon's model memory its loaded models use, with loaded and stored model summaries and an optional API key (#3914). Thanks @ericcurtin!
  • iCloud Sync: let other Macs and their stale usage snapshots be removed from the Macs list, including duplicate records left after reinstalling (#3234).
  • Provider plugins: allow explicit HTTP deadlines up to 90 seconds while preserving request-start timing and overall fetch cancellation (#2784).

Fixed

  • Provider plugins: preserve unrecognized plugin settings and secrets across app and CLI config writes, and discover installed plugins before CLI config loads (#3944). Thanks @lockhartheavyindustries!
  • Menu bar: resolve provider balances in stored layouts and show Doubao Agent Plan icon usage when Coding Plan lanes are absent (#3904, #3897, #3901, #3907, #3898, #3911). Thanks @vincent-peng, @mousebomb, and @harjothkhara!
  • Cost history: back off forbidden Cursor cost requests for six hours, honor timeout cooldowns without cached data, and preserve quota refreshes and manual recovery (#3910, #3918). Thanks @harjothkhara and @Sogl!
  • Codex costs: include local session history in Usage & Spend when CLI credentials are stored in the OS keyring instead of auth.json (#3922).
  • Codex costs: discard refreshes queued behind a stalled or failed menu catch-up pass instead of immediately restarting it (#3316).
  • Codex costs: avoid rewriting unchanged retained file state when another session or scan metadata changes, reducing local history disk writes (#3882).
  • Claude costs: skip identical cache and report-memo writes after rescans, reducing local history disk writes (#3882).
  • Codex: prefer the fresh CLI usage response's plan over the cached account plan after a subscription change (#3389).
  • Codex: scale personal credit bars with the balance instead of filling the bar at 1,000 credits, while preserving reported monthly caps and workspace balances (#3912).
  • Claude: preserve quota-threshold warnings across repeated CLI account-identity gaps instead of re-alerting on each refresh (#3450).
  • Claude widgets: refresh after claude-swap account updates and follow the active account without requiring account widgets, preserving quota ownership and measurement age (#3920, #3921). Thanks @aledeul!
  • Claude: document browser-session recovery and the explicit cookie-import retry when Claude works in Chrome but CodexBar cannot read the session (#3919). Thanks @PakAbhishek!
  • Grok: preserve team identity and local token history when a missing billing RPC method changes its error wording, using the JSON-RPC error code for fallback (related to #3716).
  • Alibaba Token Plan / Qwen Cloud: parse monthly quota windows, retain rolling windows alongside monthly usage, and read Personal/Solo monthly usage through the Bailian CLI's raw usage endpoint (#3903). Thanks @Josephur!
  • Command Code: size monthly usage from the grant reported with credits, keeping the row available when the optional subscription lookup fails (#3939). Thanks @enieuwy!
  • Kimi: import web access tokens from Chromium local storage for the selected region, preserving manual and saved-account credential isolation (#3923). Thanks @kaishin!
  • MiniMax: discover browser session storage across the shared Chromium catalog, including Comet and Yandex (#3883).
  • Ollama: explain empty Manual cookie configuration and offer a single action to use automatic cookies (#3891). Thanks @giovanninibarbosa!
  • Muse Code: check the CLI-owned Keychain item's access list before requesting its token, so refreshes fail promptly when access would require a prompt, and discover logins without reading secrets (#3916). Thanks @audreyt!
  • CLI: bound shell-discovery output to 1 MiB and reject incomplete captures so noisy startup scripts cannot cause runaway buffering or truncated PATH results (refs #1999).
  • Website: refresh the social preview image with the newest integrations and invalidate cached previews when the card changes.

Changed

  • Bundled provider plugins now power OpenAI, Fireworks, Perplexity, Qoder, Manus, T3 Chat, DeepInfra, ZenMux, Chutes, and ai& on both JavaScript engines, preserving each provider's usage charts, project labels, regional cookies, browser-session retries, balances, and quota details while deleting the native fetchers (#3933, #3934).
  • Provider plugins: preserve browser-session iteration and candidate rejection when returning typed usage results (#3933, #3934).
