No, we don't have any intention on removing that output target. We just wish to signal that Stencil is going to be pursuing web component development moving forward, rather than a full application development framework |

this sentence is slightly funky to me. I'm not sure if the list is supposed to be:
- TypeScript
- JSX
- asynchronous rendering pipeline
- lazy loading
or
- TypeScript

In either case we should fix up with commas. If it's the former,

hmm idk the second option reads a little funky to me still, what if we reworded / combined with the previous sentence to say something like
The Stencil compiler allows developers to use popular technologies like TypeScript and JSX to write 100% standards-compliant Web Components that run on both modern and legacy browsers. An asynchronous rendering pipeline provides support for smooth running animations and lazy-loading, and baked-in primitives for state, reactivity, and more provide the building blocks for building elaborate user interfaces.

Agree the current wording is a little unclear. My initial re-phrasing was:

this commit reworks the readme to remove some verbosity and awkward language from the document. it's been updated to align a little bit more with the Ionic Framework's root README file. some content has been removed with the intent on directing folks to the stencil site (which we're working on revamping).
