Virus Total Scan

As a precaution, I scanned the windows .exe with virus total and it came up with some flags

This happens on the new releases occasionally and it's a false positive. There's nothing we can do about it unfortunately but you can read more on why it may be detected as a virus here.

The whole concept of anti-virus software is utterly flawed and ridiculous, and this is a false positive. If you don't trust the installer, you can install Streamlink in a separate python environment via pip, etc.
