Recording Schedule

The Recording Schedule screen lets you view, manage, and create scheduled recordings. For watching completed recordings see Recordings.

Pending Recordings	Shows scheduled to record
Recurring Recordings	Season/recurring recording schedule, ordered by priority (top = highest priority; use the Skip/Replay remote buttons to move items up or down)
Conflicts	Scheduled recordings that conflict with each other

Recording Details Popup

Selecting a pending or recurring recording opens the Recording Details popup:

Action	Description
Update	Edit the recording — e.g. add post-padding for a late-running show. Only shown for pending or in-progress recordings.
Cancel	Cancel a pending or recurring recording.
Finds All	Show all similar programmes across the guide.
Close	Close the popup.

Types of Recordings

Type	Description
Record Once	A single one-off recording.
Record Daily	Records at the same time every day of the week.
Record Weekly	Records at the same time on the same day each week.
Record Week Days	Records Monday–Friday at the set time.
Record Weekends	Records Saturday and Sunday at the set time.
Record Season	Records all new episodes of a show on a specific channel (requires an EPG that marks new episodes).

Manual Record

Access the Manual Record popup from the hidden menu bar (Home key or Info/Menu remote button, then Man-Rec). This lets you schedule a recording without using the TV Guide, and supports advanced conditional recording options.

Field	Description
Recording Type	One-off or recurring type (see above).
Channel	Channel to record.
Name	Filename format for the recording.
Date	Date on which to record.
Start Time	Recording start time.
End Time	Recording end time.
Pre-Padding	Extra minutes to record before the start time.
Post-Padding	Extra minutes to record after the end time.
Keep	Maximum number of episodes to retain (for recurring recordings).
Directory	Save location. Only shown if multiple recording directories are configured.
Advanced Rules	Optional conditional rules — e.g. record anything with "gadget" in the title. When set, Start/End times are ignored.

Notes

• You can also schedule recordings from the TV Guide, the Search screen, the Web App, or third-party plugins.
• To cancel an entire recurring series, do so from the Recurring Recordings view. Cancelling an episode from the TV Guide cancels only that episode.
• To let NextPVR re-record a failed episode, use Forget from the menu bar before deleting the failed file — this removes the unique ID so the scheduler treats it as never recorded.
