Error in XDM .deb Package - Unable to Launch After Initial Run on Linux

Issue Title:

XDM Fails to Launch on Linux After First Use

Describe the Bug:

Hello. Thank you for your great program. It seems there is an issue with version 8.0.29 in the .deb file for Linux. XDM only shows up on the desktop the first time it's opened and then it doesn't launch at all and gives an error. The same issue was present in version 8.0.26 for Linux as well.

To Reproduce:

1. Install the .deb file for XDM version 8.0.29 or 8.0.26.
2. Open the program for the first time (it shows up).
3. Close the program.
4. Attempt to reopen the program (an error is received).

Expected Behavior:

I expected the XDM program to open without issues each time.

OS and Other Versions:

• OS: Debian 12 and Ubuntu 24.04 (the same issue observed on both)
• Current Version: Ubuntu 24.10 (issue still persists)
• XDM Version: 8.0.29 and 8.0.26
• Additionally, there is a problem with downloading from YouTube.

Additional Information:

The program does not open, but downloading works through the browser with the installed extension. However, if you try to input a link directly into the program for downloading, it doesn't work because the program does not open.

Are you sure it's not running in the background, and you're not just trying to double execute it?

I see you're on Wayland, and this app doesn't have a working tray icon under it. Clicking on the window's close button also doesn't actually close it, but sends it to the background. This wouldn't be a problem if there was a working tray icon, but without one, there's no way to restore it, and trying to do so by clicking on the launcher icon tries to start a new instance. This is likely what's producing the crash.

I'm on Pop!_OS 24.04, which doesn't have a crash handler like Ubuntu, so nothing happens for me when I try to launch it a second time. However, it still crashes nonetheless. I have to kill the process before I'm able to start it back up, and I've made it a habit to just minimize to the taskbar. Oh, and you'll also want to remove its autostart configuration from ~/.config/autostart. You can't disable it from within the app, but deleting this file will stop it from launching in the background when you login.

This is an excellent analysis of the issue, but I'm still looking for a complete solution to this problem.
