Maybe a first step could be asking the user to select a preset when entering his profile name. like
and then preconfigure the app based on that choice for the given target group. For me the settings are quite clear and I'm not sure if a wizzard would help a lot - what doesnt mean that I'm against it. But yes, I agree, to see whats possible you have to crawl through the settings. Maybe it becomes more clear to users if they could change some settings like map style etc directly in the map without the need to open the settings? |

The application is quickly growing in the number of configuration options, and I wonder if the casual user is aware of some of the features/config. To that end, do we think it makes sense to have a setup/configuration wizard when the first dive profile is created? And if so, what config options should be presented? I would think at minimum, units, sync, and backup, but some visual preferences like map style might also make sense. It could be very simple, or perhaps even give a tour of the various features.
I'm not pushing one way or the other for this at all, but am sincerely wondering what others think.
