Release Notes
Added
-v/--verbose flag: Added -v for info-level logging and -vv for debug+trace. Default output now shows only println! messages (errors visible via tracing).
- Windows emoji fallback: CLI emoji prefixes (✅, ❌, ⚠️, etc.) now display as ASCII equivalents (
[OK], [ERR], [!], etc.) on Windows terminals that cannot render them.
Fixed
- Windows install command:
kley install no longer panics with "program not found" on Windows. npm/pnpm/yarn are now invoked via cmd /C to correctly resolve .cmd scripts.
- Windows UNC paths in output:
normalized_path() no longer displays \\?\C:\... UNC paths on Windows. canonicalize is skipped on Windows (paths are already absolute), while Unix symlink resolution is preserved.
- Windows TLS error on install: PowerShell installer command now forces TLS 1.2 (
[Net.ServicePointManager]::SecurityProtocol = [Net.SecurityProtocolType]::Tls12), fixing SSL/TLS errors on older Windows PowerShell versions.
- Invisible dimmed text on Windows: Replaced standalone
.dimmed() calls with .bright_black() to ensure secondary text is visible on all terminal backgrounds.
Changed
- Default log level: Changed from
info to error — tracing diagnostics are now hidden unless -v is used. User-facing output (println!) is always visible.
