archive.org might be very helpful for this project.

I've found this, but haven't looked into it yet. Could be a jackpot or a waste of time.

Also, some downloads are listed in the API... but they don't actually exist anymore. Here's an example. archive.org could help with finding these!

What I found is only jackpot if the repository still exists. If it doesn't, this doesn't have much use.
