Hi Tamara — thank you for this, genuinely. Short answer: yes, and it's live now. AB-410 has a full study guide and a 250-question practice exam as of today.

Your nudge is the reason it exists. I'd looked at AB-410 more than once and talked myself out of it each time, because from a distance it looked like it overlapped with PL-400, which I already cover. Your message made me actually go and check instead of assuming — and it doesn't overlap. Microsoft positions AB-410 as the replacement for PL-200, which is a different thing entirely. So: I was wrong, you were right to ask, and it's built.

I've weighted the questions the way Microsoft weights the exam, rather than splitting them evenly:

One thing that's genuinely time-sensitive

If you're coming to AB-410 from PL-200, this matters this week. Microsoft's Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate page carries a warning that reads:

"This certification, related exam, and renewal assessments will retire on August 31, 2026. You will no longer be able to earn or renew this certification after this date."

That's a week away.

Slightly annoyingly, the PL-200 exam page still shows "Retirement date: none" — the two Microsoft pages disagree with each other. I'd trust the warning banner, not the blank field. Flagging it because if you'd only read the exam page you'd think you had all the time in the world.

And the reason this one actually needed building

Microsoft's own free practice assessment for AB-410 isn't out yet. Their credential page says one is "usually available within 8 weeks of the exam being out of beta and generally available." So at the moment there's no official question set to rehearse against, which is exactly the gap you pointed at.

For a proper rehearsal, use the longest run you can — the real exam gives you 120 minutes, so a 20-question sprint won't tell you much about pacing or fatigue.

Being straight with you on a few things

• Cost: the first module and 20 practice questions are free. The full 250-question bank is a $9 one-off — no subscription, no renewal.
• Where it comes from: every word is written from Microsoft's published skills outline and documentation. It doesn't reproduce real exam content, and it never will.
• Status: AB-410 is generally available, not beta, and has no retirement date announced — so it's a safe thing to invest study time in.
• It's new. It went live today. New material always has rough edges, and I'd rather hear about them than not.
