I’ve read that Reddit thread it seems a bit outdated. I’ve tried comparing DeepSeek-V3.2 via the DeepSeek app and Gemini 3 Flash Preview through the Google AI Studio website. Both models produce very similar translations. As for sensitive content censorship in DeepSeek, I haven’t experienced it so far. However, this is based on my use case.

I already tried, but it doesn’t work.

• Performance is not great
• Markdown/HTML is not supported

Interesting. Can you share the requirements you have for the translate API (e.g. support Markdown) and 2-3 examples of input and expected output? I will then try to address it with the developers of the API.
Translating HTML is difficult and something I wouldn't recommend as it is often difficult for the LLM to understand what needs to be ignored and what needs to be translated. Translating Markdown should be working, at least if there are no special fields in the Markdown.
