@CainLuo you could build your own swiftly from the main/release 1.0 branch, and then use it to install itself with swiftly init. The command to build a swiftly release package is the following:

swift run build-swiftly-release --skip 1.0.0-dev

swiftly install main-snapshot doesn't work on Ubuntu 24.04 because /api/v1/install/dev/main doesn't have ubuntu2404.json.

This would be nice to have. I'm on Ubuntu 24.04 and it's very annoying to have to always lookup the latest main snapshot each time...

@CainLuo the new swiftly release should unblock you from install the release toolchains for Ubuntu 24.04 now. Check out https://swift.org/install to get the latest release.

@CainLuo we have been using the latest Swiftly 1.0.0 with multiple Ubuntu 24.04 installations and it seems to work swimmingly. I guess this closes your issue now?

@CainLuo I'm going to close this issue as I believe it is fixed now with the new swiftly release. Please re-open if the issue remains when using Ubuntu 24.04.
