MAILING LISTS

There are several useful mailing lists to which you may want to subscribe. You will also need to subscribe in order to post a message to a list. The easiest and most straightforward way is to use your black-holes.org email to subscribe to the various lists.

Subscribe With Web Email Client

You can subscribe to any of the Google/black-holes.org mailing lists by emailing:

To unsubscribe email:

For example, to subscribe to spec-devel email:

spec-devel+subscribe@black-holes.org

Major Announcements

SXS Announce

The SXS Announce mailing list is targeted to all members of the SXS collaboration. Everyone should join this list!

Example topics:

  • Circulating a paper that will be posted/submitted soon.
  • Gathering information for funding purposes.

On oct 30, 2019, this rejected non black-holes.org email addresses; so you may have to ask your local SXS tzar to be put on this list, or you can try your @black-holes.org email.

On Feb 12, 2021. If you get an automated reply that offers two options -- "Join this Group" or "Reply back to the list" -- "Reply back to the list" appears to have a higher probability of success. The reply email should be sxs-announce+subconfirm@black-holes.org

The BBH production runs mailing list is targeted to anyone interested in producing binary black hole waveforms. The range of topics is from technical details to general info.

  • Development and use of the BBH waveform database

The SpEC bug mailing list is targeted to those who want to know about bugs in SpEC.

Please report bugs using the SpEC issue tracker on GitHub which will send emails to the SpEC bug mailing list when bugs are reported, and as they are resolved. |
