Jupyter Notebook provides a basic interface for opening notebooks, terminals, and text files, while JupyterLab offers a more interactive interface with features like notebooks, consoles, terminals, CSV editors, markdown editors, interactive maps, and improvements like the drag-and-drop cells feature not found in Jupyter Notebook. In essence, JupyterLab extends the capabilities of Jupyter Notebook.
