Selecting a suitable smoothing level

Hi,

I have question to the smoothing level than can be selected in MS-Dial (1-4). In MS-Dial tutorial (version 4) the suggestion was 1-3, in MS-Dial version 4.92 GUI it is 2-4.

Is it maybe something like this:
For example, you would you rather choose level 4 for peaks with e.g. 20 DP and level 1 for peaks with e.g. 10 DP?
(So, the smoothing level should mainly depend on the peak widths resulting from your LC method?)
