Deleting search string when entering the extension

When entering the extensiona after searching for it, E.G: "vis" -> "Open Recent Visual Studio / Code". It keeps the "vis" search tag, requiring a button press to delete it.

When entering the extension, the search string could be removed, since it often doesn't match the actual search string.

it is handled by Command Palette settings

You can play around with these two setting, should have one combination that works best for you.

Hmm, interesting. The normal "Search files" extension seems to have the wanted functionality. See attached gif:

ok the behavior is due to new added fallback command. When typing on main page, it will set the extension search text.

Tried disable the fallback from setting, but not working, command palette still calling the fallback handler.

The only workaround is to assign a global shortcut, like Alt + Space, so activating the extension will not require any typing at all.

Assigning an alias with a single character, like ".", and marking the activation as direct, also seems to work.
