This code release a carbon-isotope enabled version of the Advanced Lake Biogeochemistry Model (isoALBM), by implementing a carbon isotope mass balance within the ALBM carbon fluxes. The isoALBM model was implemented for Big Trail Lake, a well-studied abrupt thaw lake and thermokarst in interior Alaska, to investigate controls on methane isotopic signatures. The model was parameterized using multiyear eddy-covariance flux measurements and optimized to summer and winter observations of δ13C−CH4 in dissolved gas and surface emissions.
