= Introduction =

To get a commit bit for K-9, there are a few hoops you need to jump through:

• Submit several patches via the k-9 bug tracker which Jesse or other Cabal members find to be of sufficient quality and sanity OR otherwise prove yourself
• Agree to the android contributor agreement at http://review.source.android.com/settings/welcome?dest=/ (It's our goal to push all changes upstream to the core mail client. Signing the CLA when you start is the easiest way to make sure we don't run into trouble with recalcitrant contributors later on)
