Core has had a couple of updates since last merged into this repo (e.g. temporalio/sdk-core#1106), I think we may want to update it too (will leave approval to Python SDK owners though) |

I'm ok with leaving this out for now given the severity. I understand that we plan to release in the near future with upgrade on CAN and potentially the external payload conversion work, which could include this bug fix. That being said, I'm easy either way. |
