What's New

Active/Inactive Toggle for Chores (#340)

You can now quickly activate or deactivate chores directly from the chore list in the admin panel — no need to open the edit dialog.

• ⏸ button on active chores — click to deactivate. The row greys out and the chore is hidden from all children immediately.
• ▶ button on inactive chores — click to reactivate. The chore reappears for assigned children straight away.
• Toast notifications confirm each toggle action.
• The existing enabled toggle inside the chore edit dialog (under Visibility) continues to work as before.

This is useful for seasonal chores, temporary pauses, or quickly hiding a chore without deleting it.

Brighter Badges Card (#339)

The badges card has been visually refreshed to be more fun and engaging for kids:

• Vibrant purple-to-violet gradient header
• Tier-tinted gradient backgrounds on earned badges (gold/warm, silver/cool, bronze/amber, platinum/cyan)
• Bigger icons with glow shadows and playful hover rotation
• Chunkier progress bars with gradient fills
• Bouncy pop-in earn animation with shimmer ring
• Bolder bonus-point pills with drop shadows
• Pill-shaped frosted-glass filter dropdown

Upgrade Instructions

1. Open HACS → Integrations → TaskMate
2. Click Redownload and select version 3.8.2
3. Restart Home Assistant
4. Hard-refresh your browser (Ctrl+Shift+R / Cmd+Shift+R)
