Follow these steps to flash new firmware to the MYND Speaker.
- Turn on the device.
- Wait for the power-on sound icon.
- Press and hold Power + Volume Minus for 8-10 seconds.
- Release when the Power LED flashes red periodically.
- The unit stays in update mode until the update is complete or a hardware reset is performed.
To reset: Hold Plus + Minus for 10 seconds. This is a hardware last-resort which will slowly charge up a capacitor if plus and minus are pressed at the same time. After the capacitor is charged, the MCU reset line gets pulled low.
- Use a USB-C cable with data transfer capability (not just charging).
- Plug the unit into your computer.
- The computer will recognize the device as a USB drive named TEUFEL.
- Open this volume in your file explorer or on your desktop.
- Download and unzip the firmware build artifacts.
- Choose the correct firmware binary (see "MCU Firmwares" for details).
- Open both the TEUFEL volume and the folder with the firmware file.
- Drag the firmware file into the TEUFEL volume window and drop it.
- The device will automatically:
- Consume the file,
- Apply the firmware update,
- Reboot when finished.
Tip:
- If the TEUFEL volume does not appear, check your USB cable and try a different port.
