Experimental build: tabs for command output (v2.5.0-undead-exp.1)

v2.5.0-undead-exp.1 is the first build on the experimental update channel. It gives command output and previews their own tabs.

What's in it

• Command output and previews open in tabs, in the split pane and in the output window alike. Drag tabs between strips, or drag one out to give it a window of its own.
• A grip at the left of the tab bar moves the whole strip: dock it below, right or left of the text view, or drag it out of the window to tear it off. Each project window remembers where you put it.
• Every document gets its own output tab, named after the document. Optionally, tabs follow the selected document, and closing a document closes its tabs.
• Output no longer takes the keyboard focus when it opens. A preference brings the old behaviour back.
• ⌘⌥⇧{ and ⌘⌥⇧} switch between output tabs, and ⌘⌥⇧W closes them all.

How to get it

You need v2.3.0-undead or later. In Preferences → Software Update, set "Watch for:" to "Experimental builds" and click "Check Now". Or download it from the release page.

How to go back

The experimental channel only ever offers experimental builds, never a stable one, so switch "Watch for:" back to "Normal releases" when you are done. This build is numbered above the current stable release, so you will not be offered a stable build until 2.5.0-undead or later ships. To go back right away, download v2.4.1-undead.
