Hacktoberfest 2026: good first issues are tagged

TokenOps is participating in Hacktoberfest 2026.

TokenOps does cost and control governance for AI agents: budgets, guardrails, a spend ledger, and policy enforcement across single- and multi-agent runs.

We have tagged a set of self-contained issues you can pick up. Browse them here:

A few good starting points:

• Node.js client wrapper (Node.js client wrapper for TokenOps #122) and .NET client wrapper (.NET client wrapper for TokenOps #123)
• Additional LLM SDK adapters beyond LangChain (Additional LLM SDK adapters beyond LangChain (OpenAI, GHCP) #61)
• Implement the CANCEL actuator (Actuators: CANCEL is declared but unimplemented, and the two connectors disagree #67)
• Reconcile run/trace/span terminology in the docs (Reconcile divergent 'run' vs 'trace' (and 'span') terminology across TokenOps / Chronicle / control-plane #113)

How to contribute (please read first):

1. Comment on an issue before you start so we can agree on the approach. For anything beyond a typo, open or claim an issue first (see CONTRIBUTING.md).
2. Keep PRs focused, add tests when behavior changes, and run make lint and make test.
3. Sign off your commits (DCO).

We review for quality, not volume. Low-effort or automated PRs will be marked invalid/spam. A merged PR here is a real contribution to a governance tool.

Thanks for the contribution everyone! We're in the middle of an architecture refactor across TokenOps, Chronicle and the shared primitives package, so we're holding reviews on open PRs until after October 12. We'll review this then; some parts may need a rebase or small changes to fit the new structure, and we'll point those out when we do. Appreciate your patience!
