Theengs Plug not Showing Govee H5108 Temperature Values

I purchased the Govee H5108 based on compatibility here.

The Theengs Plug is not picking up the temperature values. Is there anything I need to do or that I am doing wrong? I did update the plug from 1.7.0 to 1.8.1.

I flashed an Olimex ESP32-POE with OpenMQTTGateway and the same results were seen. No temperature values.

I flashed the Olimex ESP32-POE with the prebuilt ESPHome project and it picked up the Govee H5108 temperature values successfully.

As you already stated, this is an issue OpenMQTTGateway, of which even version 1.8.1 does not yet contain the Govee H5108 decoder.

With your Olimex you can easily update to the latest development version through the web upload

@1technophile will be the best person to let you know the safest way to also update your Theengs Plug.

I would advise that we test it first to avoid any risk of bricking it.

@1technophile, is there anyway to identify which device is compatible with which version? I'd hate to buy another sensor that's only available in dev.

Good question @MickMorley , OpenMQTTGateway 1.8.1 uses Decoder 1.8.0 with this list of compatible devices:

It's not so easy to read as the web page but at least it gives you the list of compatible devices
