It is the first objection a lot of people have, so let us have it out in the open.
My short answer: the music mathematics is ordinary, machine-checked math (no squinting), while the cross-field pattern is an interpretive lens that is stated so it can be wrong -- which is the opposite of how numerology behaves. But that is my framing, and I would rather hear the objection sharpened than pre-empted.
Where does this cross the line from "structure" into "pattern-matching on numbers"? Be specific if you can -- it helps me see what to tighten or drop.
