Image Builder
The thingino Image Builder builds a thingino firmware image for your camera on demand. No toolchain, no Linux VM, no build environment, no account. Pick your camera, click Build, download the result.
Builds run on GitHub Actions from an exact, pinned commit, and the page shows you precisely which commit you got.
- Open image-builder.thingino.com
- Pick your camera from the list (every thingino camera profile is there, including the experimental ones)
- Optional: open Settings to switch the thingino branch (
master, ciao, orstable). The camera list and the commit badge follow your choice - Click Build and watch the live status: queue position, progress, and a cancel button if you change your mind
- When it finishes (usually 15 to 20 minutes), download your
.bin. It stays available for 30 minutes - Flash it: put the camera in USB Boot Mode, then use the Web Flasher or thingino-dfu
- Freshest possible firmware: it always builds the current tip of the branch you choose, including changes merged today
- Every camera profile: including experimental configs that are not part of the regular release images
- Share links: the Copy link button gives you a URL that opens the builder with your camera and branch already selected. Perfect for pointing someone to exactly the right image in support threads
The UI speaks 15 languages, auto-detected from your browser.
The service is free and shared by everyone, so a few limits apply: a couple of builds per hour per person and a global hourly cap with a queue. Identical requests are deduplicated, so if someone already built the exact same image a moment ago, you get it instantly instead of waiting for a rebuild.
If you want full control over the configuration, or you build often, see Building from sources.
