Background

Hi,
thank you for this simple yet wonderful design.
I have a questions for the background. I provided a picture for the background tag in the _config.xml file. For some reason it only show in the index, not the other pages. Any idea to make the background shown at the side bar for all pages?

It should show up in all the pages by default that are extended from the default layout.

Essentially the index page is fine https://hchaozhe.github.io/
But none of the posts, say https://hchaozhe.github.io/2020/05/01/PHDLookback/ works with the background.
