In addition, about your screenshot on the original comment, it's not good at all to run the binary from the build root, on the root filesystem. That don't take at all the build environment, libs, etc.

To have a relevant test, you need to chroot into the build root first:

chroot 0-initramfs/root /bin/ash

That looks perfect to me !

I tested the build, it works as expected and I can run lshw with IDs resolved :)
