Resume existing session (started outside of hapi)

What feature would you like to see?

primarily for cursor since their IDE is still very useful. when i start chats in the ide it would be nice to pick back up in hapi.

HAPI already has CLI-level Cursor Agent resume support for an existing Cursor Agent chat ID: hapi cursor resume <chatId> and hapi cursor --continue are documented, and the Cursor launcher passes --resume <chatId> to the agent binary.

For the web/phone “new session” flow, I did not find a way to enter or pass an external Cursor chat ID today. The frontend spawn request only sends machine, directory, agent, model/effort, yolo, and session type fields; the hub /machines/:id/spawn body schema also does not accept resumeSessionId. There is lower-level runner/RPC plumbing for resumeSessionId, including Cursor mapping to --resume, but it is not exposed by the web create-session path.

I also did not find code that imports/discovers Cursor IDE chats directly. The current docs refer to Cursor Agent CLI chat IDs from agent ls.

Need more info:

• Is the chat you want to resume visible in agent ls, or is it only visible inside the Cursor IDE UI?
