Example Boss Rush Mod
I made this mod to showcase a playable experience with the Boss Rush API. It is a proof of concept that the API is usable and can be implemented in a mod.
I also made it so that those interested will have a reference on how to use the API. Check out the source code here.
It adds a consumable item called the Lunar Acorn
that will start the boss rush event when used. The event only contains vanilla bosses, but they are buffed to be more challenging. This will serve as the final challenge for the player after beating Moon Lord.

Bosses spawned in Boss Rush Event will have their stats buffed and some will have additional attacks. The expected power from the player is to use end-game gear, so the bosses are balanced around them. The order of bosses is as follows.
- King Slime
- Eye of Cthulhu
- Deerclops
- Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu
- Queen Bee
- Skeletron
- Wall of Flesh
- Queen Slime
- The Twins or The Destroyer or Skeletron Prime
- Plantera
- Golem
- Duke Fishron
- Empress of Light
- Lunatic Cultist
- Solar Pillar or Vortex Pillar or Nebula Pillar or Stardust Pillar
- Moon Lord
Those specified with an or will still spawn the bosses. After defeating the chosen boss, the event will then spawn the other remaning items in the same or group. This is to create randomness in the order of spawning.
For example, after defeating Deerclops, either Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu will spawn. Let's say Brain of Cthulhu spawned. After defeating Brain of Cthulhu, the event will then spawn Eater of Worlds next.
