Vision

Freelist envisions to be a platform for planning your purpose(s).

The first phase is in the form of a todo-app for a single individual.

The second phase will be collaborative.

There are specific design principles in the README.md.

Cascading tree-structure for to-do's (they add up to higher level goal/purpose). Being able to see other's freelist and assign/receive/collaborate directly. Sync with other devices or to your own server.

Future use-cases for the same app/structure (that can be shared with (or forked à la Git by) other users):

  • Goals in life
    • By stating goals in life and repeatedly interacting with this list it subconciously reinforces/guides you in all your actions (like a morning prayer, which works even for atheists)
    • By putting all activities into a hierarchy which ultimately links to goals in life (or not!) you will get insight into how aligned your actions are with your life aspirations.
  • Set time budgets for todo's/activities (for yourself, team members, children, students, bosses, etc), which helps to:
    • avoid unrealistic asks/expectations or confront yourself/people with them
    • keep someone from spending more time than suitable on a group of activities)
  • freelist manual
  • quotes
  • courses
  • find like-minded people and share tips about any area of interest (raising kids, dating, sailing, chess, making the world a better place, politics, etc)
  • recipes + ingredients + 1 view for shopping
  • shopping + reviews (x stars)
  • shopping lists
  • news feeds
  • email / messages
  • monitoring of feed consumption (news/email/facebook/youtube/etc)
  • clothes list (last completed) + 1 view for today combo's
  • wicked problems
  • ads (ie real-estate, cars, etc)
