Feature Idea - Daily Notes - Journal View

Would a "journal view" be possible for Daily Notes?

By journal view, I mean that it would show the latest daily note at the top of the page and then it would allow you to scroll down and go through previous days notes. Obsidian has a few plugins that do this and it is default behaviour for Logseq.

Example:

2026-09-11
Today's daily note here

---

2026-09-10
Previous day's notes here

---

2026-09-09
And the day before etc etc

I think having some screenshots from those plugins would help a lot to visualize it.

Have been playing a bit with the new Journal view. I came across an issue with the delete button. On my mobile it's too easy to tab the delete button instead of the edit button (happened a few times now) . My question is: Do we really need a delete button in the Journal view? I think the journal view is more for viewing and perhaps a quick edit to correct a spelling mistake for example.
The journal view shows so many red bins - it looks a bit intimidating ;-)

My other suggestion is a cosmetic one. To separate the items better would it be feasible to have a frame around the entries (just like on this Github discussion page)?

What are your thoughts?

I was already thinking the same thing about the bins. We probably don't have to remove daily notes often and if we really want we can do it from the sidebar.

Or put the delete bin option in a ... menu!

One can fully open the note easily by clicking on the title (date) in Journal view. This is handy for the big edits and the delete if required. I think that's enough. Unless more features are to be implemented for the Journal view. In this case I would opt for a three dot menu as well.

Yes for the moment I don't have enough actions to put into a ... menu and like I said, removing the daily note is not something that should happen a lot.

@timothepoznanski - I've just noticed that the / commands don't show up when editing a note in Journal View. Not sure if this is by design or a bug

At first, the journal view wasn't meant to become an editor view. The edit button came just to be used if you had a little thing to correct, add or remove.
