FEAT: Option to remember last opened workspace/note separately per device #1526

Very good point thanks. Didn't think about this use case. I will add a parameter to the menu (find it in workspaces settings) to remember last opened separately on each device and rename the actual one. |

This is now in dev and will ship with the next release. In Settings > Workspaces > Default Workspace there are now two "last opened" choices: "Last workspace opened (all devices)", which is the previous behaviour, and "Last workspace opened on this device", which remembers the workspace separately in each browser. The note was already remembered per browser (open tabs are stored locally for each workspace), so with the new option each device reopens its own workspace and its own note. One detail: on the same computer, an installed PWA usually shares cookies with its browser, so they share the same last workspace, but separate computers are fully independent. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I use Poznote from several computers and laptops, both in a browser and as a PWA, while using the same Poznote account/server.
Currently, it appears that the last opened workspace/note is remembered globally for the user. This means that if I open Note A on my desktop and later open Note B on my laptop, returning to the desktop may also take me to Note B.
It would be very useful to have an option to remember the last opened workspace/note separately on each device/browser/PWA instance.
For example:
Desktop → last opened: Work → Project A → Note 1
Laptop → last opened: Personal → Note 2
Then reopening Poznote on each device would return to its own last location.
Ideally, this could be a user setting with two options:
Remember last opened note across devices — current behavior
Remember last opened note separately on each device — store the last workspace/note locally per browser/PWA
This would be especially useful for users who use the same Poznote account on multiple computers but have different workspaces or notes open on each device.
Thank you!
