This is done and will ship in the next release. You will find a new "Open without login" switch in Settings > Admin > Users & access. Once it is turned on, any browser that reaches your Poznote instance opens your account directly, with no username, password or two-factor code. The account that opens is the one of the administrator who turned the switch on, and the Logout button disappears since there is nothing left to log out of. Please only enable it if you are the only one who can reach the instance (localhost, VPN, trusted private network) or if a reverse proxy in front of Poznote handles authentication. Anyone who can reach the instance gets full access to that account, administrator rights included. Two things stay as they are: the REST API and the MCP server keep asking for credentials, and public share links keep working the same way. To go back, turn the switch off in the same place. The login screen returns immediately, so make sure you know your password before doing so. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
I would like an option to disable the basic password/login screen.
If the authorisation method is username/password then users should be able to have the option of disabling it.
